All they managed to do is anger the American consumer. We won't and can't be told what we can or can't purchase. If anything they spiked interest and create demand for a possibly "BANNED" device.

I've been ready for an upgrade for a while and for a moment I considered waiting for the tenative iPhone 5 as the net has it rumored to have a 4" or larger screen and a LTE antenna but this has truly pushed me to take a hard look at the HTC EVO 4G LTE....

It's hard to be "Pro Sprint" or "Anti Apple" on Phonescoop. As you will surely draw fire and make yourself a tavern for a malicious troll.

Fact is I've had Sprint since 1998 and I truly find them an exceptional value.
I find AT&T and VZW's billing practices highly "Anti-Consumer" and potentially predatory for consumers that may not be aware of what they are getting for what they are paying for.

To say the least Sprint has served my family well over the past 14 years and I do not see going anywhere else.

Can't argue with you there. Im with ATT and have been for some time, now. Love their service, hate the prices. I only stayed because, I still carry my unlimited data for now, which is slowly being sucked away from us and I want a Windows Phone. If other carriers start carrying more WP OEM styles, I may actually consider Sprint or TMobile at the end of the year when my contract is up.

Before some WP troll says anything, i didn't want an iPhone or Android. I came from Blackberry and wanted something better but different from everyone else.

Just because someone has an opinion
doesn't make them a "troll". I really
hate that word! I think it should only be used
in certain situations.

And by the way, Android is so easy to
customize that it would be easy to make
your smartphone stand out and be
different than anyone else's.
Especially with the use of a 3rd party
launcher.

When I say troll, I mean those people who try and make someone full dumb for choosing something other than what they like. Im not a huge fan of Android or Apple for that matter. Probably because everyone has one and I've run into you many people who everything should be Android or Apple. All These devices have their shortcomings and positives alike. I just wanted to find something other than, that appealed to me. Unfortunately, my only real option was ATT to fill this want. Im hoping other major carriers will support more WP when WP8 comes out. Then and maybe then, I will switch carriers. Who knows what carrier plans will look like by ye end of the year.

To be honest I have used both iPhone and Android. Both get boring after a while. The Windows 7 phones have a fresh user interface feel to them for those of you who didnt use a Zune. Those phone is pretty neat specially if you get one of the higher end WP7.

I would change but Tmo doesnt offer them. Also I havent used a ICS model phone yet holding off on my Sensation because I do not want to lose the free hot spot >

There is a reason you hate the word 'troll'.

Good for you man. I traded my iPhone for a Galaxy nexus. Never looked back. Even when the iPhone 5 comes out along with the bigger screen LTE and various other typical gimmicky Apple features its still going to plauged by iOS.

The real fact is that the vast majority of consumers have no idea Apple has anything to do with it. All they know is that Sprint isn't shipping the phone they've ordered and possibly that it's due to US Customs.

They shipped pre-orders last week. The inventory we received were to fulfill the pre-orders and customers were given a free case for pre-orders. That gesture is only for people who pre-ordered and kept their pre-orders.

Yeah..I guess it's completely okay in Sprint's world to sell things that they didn't physically have. Sprint did that before with the Blackberry Tour..after a week of ordering with not enough inventory we finally told them it's on backorder and not available.

Gotta start somewhere. People have actually gained access through LTE in some areas where we are currently building to. It's on the Sprint forums. Speeds weren't as impressive as Verizon's but it's still being worked on.

Hells, remember when the Phone Connect launched. I was B2B outbound sales at that point, had a list of call backs to make when it launched and the warehouse ran out in three days. This was AFTER it became available three day sbefore the launch date.

You're unfortunately correct.

I'd like to think that the American consumer would've been incensed by Apple's continued courtroom shenanigans and it all seems petty until you realize that this is monopolizing the courts time and resources that cost the US Taxpayer and yes I am a proud part of the 53% of US citizens that PAY taxes. But US consumer apathy is its own worst enemy.

Is Apple attempting to patent a slab/bar style touch screendevice that can download and run apps, browse the web and check email, make calls send and receive sms and sync you to your social media, take pictures and video and upload and share?

Sounds about as ridiculous as when Motorola attempted to patent the FLIP PHONE design ... A judge at the time thought ...

Personally, I find the reports of Steve Jobs death to be dubious. I think he transferred his conciousness into a Macbook and will eventually, once he gets his bearings, he will use the machines of the world to take over and destroy Google / Android.
