Much Needed Improvements

The Nokia 6800 was a great phone. I really looked forward to the Nokia 6820, in fact I actually bought it. (I haven't bought a phone in 6 years. Perks of job...) I was so dissapointed with that phone that I gave it to a friend of mine. If the improvements to the screen and the camera hold up, I may try this phone again. I'm still a little shocked that Nokia hasn't jumped on the 1.3MP camera bandwagon, especially with this release...

Wow! I used the 6820 for a while, and then bought the 6620. Two days ago my son's 3300 broke, and he started using my old 6820. He and I were just talking about what a great phone this is, except for the horrible display! The 6820 actually takes pretty good photos - it's just that they look so bad on its 4,000 color disply. When we send pictures from it to my 6620, using infared, the look very good on the 6620.

A new display is exactly what this phone needed!

Some versions will, yes. The 6820i, for example, should still be coming, and does have the BlackBerry client.

The screen was the primary reason my sister went with another phone...to have all those cool features with a blurry screen was just not worth it.

I had the Nokia 6800 and Nokia 6820. The 6820 was a great phone, but the clarity of the screen was why I got rid of it. Yet, I loved being able to retrieve and send my emails at the touch of a button without having to carry a bulky phone. Maybe this version will be better in that regard.
