I'm beginning to think they can actually catch up with LTE. Great news.

Oh,yes, they have the money and will catch up eventually. My only concern is are they robbing Peter to pay Paul. You have to spend money to make money, but spending other peoples' money can be dangerous. Hopefully the reward is worth it.

I don't understand why Clearwire is
mentioned in this article. Seems to me
as though Sprint is moving in the direction away
from Clearwire. Sprint is deploying LTE
on their OWN network, rather than
through Clearwire with WiMax.

Because Clearwire is supposedly switching to LTE as well.

On the contrary Jay, many on this forum have been able to cause some confusion by making mention that they don't understand Sprint's ties with Clearwire.

Clearwire is a very valuable jewel that Sprint doesn't or shouldn't want to lose. Their partnership has been in question but it is imperative they move ahead with the partnership. Clearwire has an enormous amount of spectrum holdings and adequate infrastrusture. Sprint can absolutley benefit from this use. Add in Sprint's infrastructure and spectrum holdings, and you have a very formidable network combination.

But Clears spectrum holdings are the 2.5ghz
which isn't all that good for well,...anything!
800mhz/1900mhz is much, much better
for well, anything. Especially LTE, LTE, LTE!
