OFDM is from Flarion, which was (or is being) acquired by QualComm...
Supposedly, Qualcomm might be able to use that to offer 4G services...maybe CDMA as we know it has no future.
But, will that have any impact with GSM family? It seems doubtful that Qualcomm would co-operate with GSM in terms of a new technology, unless GSM is willing to license it for royalties...
