Re: It does have a name, not just the Alphanumeric designation
That's why I started this thread, to see what people would suggest for the nickname, since the codename sucked as a nickname.
Consumers are dumb, and can't remember anything.
I call this the Kleenex syndrome: A common name or nickname is given to a product, and people will associate similar products to it. Any facial tissue is referred to as a kleenex brand tissue, regardless of its actual brand. Or a product with a nickname is more memorable simply because of the nickname. Hence the RAZR.
People will be more likely to remember a model name rather than it's number.
Example, my girlfriend told me she really would like to get a mercedes, when I asked her which one, she said, "the convertible one, I don't know the number for it" But had you asked her what the mazda sporty convertible was, she could easily say miata.
Remember all the people coming in asking for the razr but pointing to the blade.
If this phone is to make it as a memorable phone, it needs a nickname.
Personally I think "Papercut" is a fitting name for it.
Someone else suggested "Onyx".
What do you guys think?
