I didn't know there was customs issue, either. But, I suppose you are referring to the ban on Android phones, due to patent issues. When did they settle that issue?

It wasn't so much a ban as the ITC saying "As long as HTC phones are violating this one patent, then they can't import those phones into the US."

The patent was about clicking on a phone number, like in a browser, and having it call the number or something.

HTC made a workaround for it so that it's not violating the patent, but the US Customs have to inspect the phones to ensure that they're not violating the patent still.

The ongoing legal dispute between Motorola Mobility and Microsoft could see some versions of the Xbox 360 banned in the United States. International Trade Commission judge David Shaw has recommended that the trade group ban the import of 4GB and 250GB Xbox 360 S consoles, reports Courthouse News. Jellz, where did you find this delicious detail? I had no idea what the actual issue was (or issues were), but I was pleasantly surprised how quickly the ITC made a decision.

Thank you for the link. It's mindbogling to have this crazyness for one little feature or patent out of thousands that go into each smartphone. And the problem wasn't even there. There needs to be a better way.
