How do we protest this absolute crime? Apple seriously has to be the most successful company in history that gets away with everything.
I want drink ipecac and throw up all over their store...

What crime? HTC violating Apples patent, again? lawl k. Complain to yourself in the mirror if it makes you feel any better. No one is going to listen to you.

Before you post a snarky response, you should make sure you're not ignorant of the facts.

HTC did not violate Apple's patents "again," it made the necessary changes after it was found to violate Apple's patents in December 2011. Even though the software no longer violates the patent, the phone is still being held up at customs while their compliance is verified. That, in itself, is pretty ridiculous since plenty of HTC phones have entered the US since being modified to comply with the patent in question. In short, this is not HTC's fault OR Apple's fault, it's custom's fault for doing an inadequate and inconsistent job.

That said, the patent in question is ridiculous in the first place. Recognizing an email address or phone number in t...

Hey buddy, if I looked anything like you I probably would cry in a mirror!
My major issue here is because the shipment was held up conveniently delaying a major launch for HTC who creates a great product but is being abused by Apple and all of this patent litigation nonsense.
After all, you can't tell me that Apple didn't have lawyers poking all over demanding that this happened...

write to HTC and express your disgust that they thought they could skirt a ruling by the ITC.

See my response to Haggard above for a more complete response. In short, HTC did not skirt a ruling by the ITC. They made the necessary change to their software awhile ago. The issue is that customs has just now decided that they want to check on HTC's compliance when they've had ample opportunity already. That's also why Sprint and HTC have been caught off-guard by this.

Actually, numerous news articles are showing that HTC had the phones with customs for almost a month. Sprint took a gamble on doing preorders for devices they didn't even have.

Sounds like it's Sprint at fault then, not HTC. I'd be interested to read one of those articles you reference. I hadn't seen that piece of information.

Ok, so that article proves what? That customs is looking at the phones? We already knew that. You asserted that the HTC phones being held were in violation of a patent? Where is the proof? Futhermore, this is proof of how ridiculously absurd the patent system is. You Apple fanboys may be happy with your over-priced junk, but not everyone wants the next iBrick. The truth is that the current patent system hurts consumers and keeps prices high. But you won't acknowledge that fact because you care more about being loyal to a company that is screwing you and everyone else. Personally I would prefer to see most of these technology patents go away and innovation and competition enter the market place.

That doesn't say anything and your avatar is ugly.

Your argument is garbage just like Apple.

Maybe, all of the people that ignore that all the patents that are being acquired and granted are doing nothing but passing along increased costs to the consumer should just SHOVE IT...

Apple is in a more abusive position then Microsoft was years ago and are actively interfering with a consumer's right to choose..
