I was a bit surprised myself when reading the review. The Signal section was mostly just complaining about Sprint's 3G service. We know it's slow, we don't need reminders. 
I came to the article to read about the phone. If the signal performs on par with other Sprint phones, that's relevant to me. As for the speeds, we're all waiting to see how the Network Vision project plays out.
I bought the EVO 4G (and the EVO 3D) despite not having WiMAX in my area. They were still great phones, and it looks like this one will be as well. For that, Eric, thanks for listening to Slammer's feedback on the Wrap-Up.
