The guy is telling the truth though. Apple is the devil and Sprint is indeed a mess. T-Mo was smart enough to see through Apple's evil ways. It's hurting them but not as much as Sprint's gonna hurt later on. What is it? 2015-16 that'll finally see a profit from the iPhone??? They'll be dead by then man.

Hessse should not have just cut his pay, he should have resigned.

god no, hessse is doing a great job and sprint isnt in any type of big trouble and i agree it will be 2015-2016 before the company See's a profit from the iphones but in the long run sprint can easily hold out for the next couple of years biased off the numbers thats it is providing and with the iphone it will only help to stop churn and keep more custs with the company

Sprint IS in big trouble, I honestly don't remember when was the last time they made a profit, but I don't think it is in this century...

If Hesse doesn't resign, and the company doesn't start to generate PROFITS, not just 'smaller losses' but PROFITS, he's not going to have a choice, Sprint shareholders are going to revolt, and he will be ousted.

Struggling to keep your stock around $4 a share is totally big trouble.

I will say I do like Hesse and how he has handled some of the flak that has come Sprint's way in recent memory, but sadly it was just too much for any one man to handle.

Bravo to him for taking the pay cut! There needs to be more CEOs that would willingly do this in order to take responsibility for poor performance!

Poor guy. It's like being promoted captain of the Titanic after hitting the iceberg. Sprint was already flailing when he took over. He's just trying to reverse years of bad decisions by others. No one is going to come in and make them the financial model overnight.

Apple messed it all up and now sprint will put the burden not just on Dan but also on the employees.

Apple didn't mess anything up. Sprint could have said no to the deal and walked away like other smaller carriers have.
Small carriers have no choice but to walk away because the initial cost is very expensive.

The iPhone issue (assuming thats all it is) is a short term problem for Sprint because the money is made up later in the contract term because we all want subsidized phones dam it! 😈

Seriously, I they have done the math and believe they will come out well down the road. ONly time will tell, but you can't tell this early.

In that case, he should do whatever he can to hold on until then.

If the iPhone deal was the only thing hurting Sprint it might not be a big deal, the problem is that the iPhone is only one of many problems hurting the company right now, and it might be one too many....

Seriously, profiting from it might not be an option because the company might not exist long enough to see a profit from the iPhone deal.

Then Sprint will forever be remembered as one of the companies that should have lived within their means instead of going out and purchasing things that they couldn't afford. Yet another example of poor business decisions. Sure they wanted to compete, but you at least have to think about what you are doing..
