Since you charge like VZW, why not just have them acquire USC?

Good options & prices for us U.S. Cellular? With these prices & data tiers, I wonder why people wouldn't just go to Verizon or AT&T? Hopefully Verizon just gobbles them up because they are useless now to most consumers as a "value option". Heaven-forbid Sprint & T-Mobile ever fold or are acquired by Big Blue/Red, WE ARE SCREWED!!!

How are they still not a great value based carrier? They offer 1 time contracts, a rewards system, overage protection, overage cap, free battery swaps.

Yes they are positioning themselves plan-wise like the other carriers, but they are still vastly different.

Also, it would cost VZW more money to buy them out than what they pay to lease spectrum / network from USCC in the midwest...just saying...

I liked U.S. Cellular's prices and data plans before, not now. A contract is a contract no matter who it is with. I do respect when carriers will at least reduce it as you progress through it. Not sure what "rewards system" is or the overage protection/cap. Maybe they warn you by text or something when you get close to the limit? Seems any carrier should automatically do that for customers. The free battery swaps though is where I draw the line. When I seen them advertise that, I damn near died of laughter. When your battery drains, CHARGE IT! Who on God's green earth has the time to locate a USC store, run in and wait 10 minutes for CS to verify your account, find your battery type and come out with someone else's nasty, used charge...
