sorry at&t customers.... looks like this is a preemptive strike to warn you that YOUR prices are going up.... meanwhile i will enjoy my unlimited "4g" SGS2 on t-mo for 20 donuts a month and pay that same 20 donuts when lte is fired up with my shiny new SGS3 with lte.... and for those who respond by saying that it's really not "4g" ... i will take my mere average of 18.35 mps over your _____ any day for 20 donuts a month... unlimited that is with no caps....... 😳

yeah, but that is now.... if you are still on at&t in 2014... you'll be lucky to get 4g speed that fast and if you do.... guaranteed you'll be pay 60 plus donuts a month.... and i'll have my cool SGS4 phone by then running on our sweet lte network provided by at&t and since t-mo has figured how to get sweet speed out of the 3g network to run at 4g speeds i am speculating that t-mo's lte will be screaming at 42 mbps at minimum and probably in the area of 60+ mbps... geesh... my SGS2 on 4G is already faster than any wifi network i've hooked in to ..... btw.... just ran test.... 19.22 mbps..... 😲

and i consider t-mo donuts with the cool sprinkles.... when coverage is not that great at my house... i just turn on the wifi and the cool wifi calling engages and i get great clear reception.... best part.... the calling and data are now free.... at work i keep on the wifi..... the sprinkles on my donuts are that.... first.... free data.... second... free calling... and my battery lasts for eternity.... not really.... but it last all day and into the next with one full charge.... plus..... t-mo does not take more then 20 donuts a month from me for really fast data speeds..

Hmmm not totally Unlimited..Once the customer’s Web usage exceeds the Data Speed Reduction Threshold (2 or 5BG ) , the customer’s speed is reduced to (at most) 50 kbps (comparable to dial-up). $20 is not bad at all. Let's just cross our fingers & Rate Plan Prices increase since according to terms of service #6 they reserve the right to increase price at any moment they see fit. (If that happends then you will be able to cancel without ETF)

actually, i'm one of the lucky ones.... i have a grandfathered in totally unlimited plan.... i will say i've yet to even come close to using 5 gigs a month....

Not so fast, vedelorme, in which T-Mobile market are you located? I can tell you the LTE prospects for that market.

not so fast my friend.... aka "scooter"..... i'm in the albuquerque market.... i have no idea about what the lte prospects are.... all i know is that t-mo has done a great job bolstering their hspa+ in our area..... i don't think i'm in the best market... i see others with way faster speeds in the mid 30's mbps in other markets such as seattle.... all i'm saying with this thread is that it sounds like the at&t customers are going to get hit with a major rate hike and the execs at at&t is trying to through the fcc under the bus and blame them for the rate hike because the merger was stopped.... thaz all i'z sayin' ..... i like t-mo for it's great rates and all the extra stuff such as wifi calling and when on wifi, no data is used.... thaz ...

You are fortunate. Albuquerque will be fine. T-Mobile has ample spectrum to deploy LTE in AWS and HSPA+ in PCS.
Other markets -- such as Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Cincinnati, etc. -- are not so lucky. T-Mobile cannot launch LTE in those markets because it lacks sufficient spectrum.

i here ya.... that's why i can't live without the wifi calling..... but where i live, verizon's rural coverage is horrible and t-mo's is outstanding and now that they are getting some more spectrum from at&t, you'd think it will only get better and at a way lower price rate then verizon and at&t... oh yeah... and sprint too.... 😁

If you don't live in a rural area do you really care? I will say that it is doubtful that T-Mobile will waste cash expanding coverage for two or three dudes in Enterprise, Alabama.

Well I live in a rural area but I am within an hour of Lexington and within a couple hours of Cincinnati. It's not like these are small cities, maybe not a booming metropolis, but not small. People do travel and would like their phones to work. Even if I lived in a city I would be pretty annoyed if everytime I went on a trip I was left with a tiny laptop. I don't have Verizon but am around people that are, they are the best for coverage. AT&T is 2nd around here BUT I have exp increased dropped calls and things just seem to get worse and worse. I suspect they have decommissioned a tower in my area. I will waiting to see how the Network Vision Project goes with Sprint.
