Well put. It tires me hearing these tired complaints of "cheap plastic."

Plastic =/= cheap or poorly made.

Yes there are cheap plastics, just as there are high quality engineered plastics. Not all plastics are created equal.

Metal dings and dents, glass shatters when dropped, but you just can't beat the light-weight resilience of a good plastic shell. I've dropped my GSI from over 6 feet clattering on to pavement with narry a scuff or scratch to be found. That's the kind of quality I want in a phone, and I hope that Samsung keep making their phones this way forever (at least the Galaxy S line...maybe they could do a separate line of metal phones for people that prefer the heft and feel of anodized aluminum or something...)
