FCC Extends Review of Verizon Spectrum Deal by 3 Weeks

I don't really see that happening. It most certainly would be nice to be able to do that. OEMs would make a killing off of devices. People would be more likely to buy full priced devices, if they know it can be used on any other carrier. Bad for national carriers, good for consumers and regional carriers. Once a persons contract is up, they can just take their phone and go to one of the cheaper regional carriers.

While all this seems like a win win situation here, I'm sure there's something that I haven't accounted for and whatever that is, will be the reason(s) that it will not happen that way.
