I really, really loved Nokia. In my opinion, they always made the phones with the best signal strength (antennas) & battery life. Previous I had a Nuron with T-Mobile & a Nokia E5 with Straight Talk/ATT. Both were great, inexpensive smartphones. While I didn't like Symbian as much as I do Android I found I probably liked it as much or better than Windows Mobile. I could not believe when Nokia, the #1 maker of all phones & smartphones worldwide, announced they would just abandon Symbian. Even if it would have been to just go "all-Android", I would have thought that to be a dumb decision but when I heard it was to go "all-Windows", I thought "they MUST be on crystal meth". I wasn't too keen on Nokia going with Windows Phone myself but the more options the better so I welcome it. We can't have a world of all iOS and Android. I'm a former iPhone user and now use a Galaxy Nexus. I couldn't be happier. I love choices.

I don't think Windows Phone is r...

Agreed choice is good, and btw, when you call it M$, just remember one thing, Apple, Google and Android are larger companies then Microsoft. Who knows what will happen with the new incarnation of Windows Phone? I think it will be in a decent but not a close third place to Android and iOS.

What does puzzle me is, why Nokia didn't go ahead with Meego, and I don't mean one or two niche market phones. Might have been a better choice, well probably would have been a better choice. Most of us who come here would have little trouble with the sophistication of Meego, but not the population as a whole. More and more I'm buying into the speculation that Nokia, well the mobile phone division is going to be part of Microsoft. And it maybe a go...
