Does this phone let you view and/or edit excel, and word documents?

No. The Smartphone edition of Windows Mobile 5 does not have Word and Excel. Only the PocketPC version has Word and Excel.

This phone does come with Picsel Viewer, so you can view Word, Excel, and PDF files, but you cannot edit them.
