About time this nonsense ends. I must say Tim Cook is a lot more reasonable than SJ ever was. If this nonsense is settled soon Apple may yet again gain my respect.

I agree. They need to realize the only people who really make money out of these stupid patent lawsuits are the greedy lawyers.

That and there's probably something each company wants from each other patentwise thats more then in the fluff patent suits. This is not unprecedented from Apple, they did this with Microsoft during the 90's and has held to this day. And as the original poster said, its about time.

I've actually liked what I've seen so far from Tim Cook...he's not as much of a fanatic as Steve Jobs was, and he does not have the secret to the fabled 'reality distortion field'.....I think that Tim Cook is probably the guy behind the recent decision to allow the iPhone to be unlocked (because I still think it was Apple that insisted on the opposite)....in general I think we are going to see a gradual loosening of Apple's strict policies that have earned the company my contempt and loathing...
