We all know how Banks have almost destroyed the world economy and no one is held accountable.

If you want to look for the people who 'destroyed the world economy' you need look no further than the government that ran up $15 trillion in debt and $120 trillion in unfunded liabilities....Congress destroyed the economy, and they didn't need help from anybody.

Between MS and Google, I'm sure their patents will go to good use. But, let's hope that RIM can maintain. I do like their phone formats, they just need to play catch up with the technology and seriously upgrade their OS. I just hope OS10 will have time to be pushed out.

I do....and assuming that 'Blackberry 10' is basically the Blackberry Playbook OS put on a smartphone, it will be a damn good smartphone OS!

I think anyone who has ever owned a Blackberry can agree that there are two major problems with the OS:

1. It crashes way too often, requiring a battery pull to get it running again

2. You have to reboot the phone after every update of an app, and after many installs of an app

I got my Playbook on November 25 of last year, I has run continuously since then, I have never turned it off, it has never crashed, and the only time I have needed to reboot it is install an OS update. And you no longer have to reboot when installing or updating apps. No more rebooting the phone every time a minor a...

The question to be answered then, if you have to do a reboot with BB 10, will it still drain the battery of significant power and will it boot much faster. When I owned a BB, these were two of the issues I dealt with regularly. It should not take well over a minute to boot a cell phone and drain a quarter of the battery doing it!

I've never seen it take so much as a quarter of the battery to reboot, unless there was a problem with the battery...usually a reboot knocks you down about 1% max, if you are at 49% it may knock you down to 48, which is still too much but it isn't a quarter of the battery life.

But I have no idea how long it takes to re-boot the Playbook because I've never needed to re-boot it! If I have to reboot it some day I'll tell you how long it takes! 🙂

I'm weird, I'm purposely not shutting it off or rebooting it because I want to see how long it can go without a reboot. So far.....I've gone about 6 months.....

RIM is still posting a PROFIT people....and a big enough profit that they are still buying other companies.....this is likely being done to find ways to increase revenue, they are looking at either an acquisition or licensing patents to raise revenue....

If they are looking at acquisition I would totally flip if RIM was bought by Microsoft, a Windows Phone with Blackberry Services would give me the biggest geekgasm in recorded history.
