AT&T to Unlock Off-Contract iPhones

That is silly. The phone has all kinds of identifying info (IMEI, IMSI #, etc.) that should be enough to ascertain by the carrier if a phone is stolen or not. Why should one keep a receipt for it forever? Luckily though, after some search I did find the original box that the phone came in and the receipt is in it. I hope that would be enough to take to a T-Mo store instead of faxing it somewhere when I don't even have a Fax. Who needs Fax anymore anyway when one could attach a scanned copy to an email?
