My experience with the web browser has been mixed. First of all, "lightning fast" (quoted from Helo's site) is still a vast exaggeration but I'm going to assume it's as fast as any other "3G" network.
So far, I haven't been able to access any form of Gmail on the Drift. I've tried using every conceivable way, including Google's mobile optimized site gmail.com/app. This seems like a pretty big oversight, especially since they obviously have a partnership with Google.
The fact that it doesn't work pisses me off because I'm a gmail user but it also makes me wonder what other sites aren't going to render.
