The MP3 player...
With the Hero you can only listen to a stored mp3 while in the player app, but with most phones I've used you can listen to a song while reading a text, or checking the calender, or doing pretty much anything. The mp3 plays in the background. how is it with the drift?

it took me long enough. i have good news and bad news to report about the music player setup.
first the bad news, because it answers your question. The only thing you can do while the media player is playing is send or view text messages. you cannot browse the web, take a picture or anything other than text.
now the good news. you can finally just copy your audio tracks to a folder in the memory card and the media player will read and play those files. it will read the complete id3 tags including song and let you sort sort by track name, artist, album and genre.
so it's not a total wash. i just wish i didn't have to pause the music to take a picture.
