Four More Regionals to Offer iPhone Starting April 20
Where are you at...
It surprises me that US Cellular has said no when these other, smaller regional carriers are deciding to sell the Iphone (w/ a discount too)
In retrospect, USCC also sells the Galaxy S2, Electrify, Hero S, and now the Aviator...do they really need the iPhone?
Look, I get so sick of this attitude that the iPhone is the be all end all of phones, it isn't, nothing is....the iPhone is just one more smartphone among many...despite what its more fanatical followers might think, it is not actually a plastic Jesus.
Also to note...every Apple product that launches ALWAYS has a major issue of some sort at launch. USCC probably wouldn't even push the iPhone through the insane amount of testing their devices go through.
1. Is the Iphone being overpriced? Yes...Is it worth it for a carrier to get it...I think so..Remember, Verizon originally did not get it and regretted that decision. All of the major 4 (except T-Mo, who now badly wants it but needs it in its 3g/4G frequency) has it, and as you know, some regional carriers now. It is so hard for me to believe that USCC is so smart, while the other carriers are so stupid, as if the other carriers did not weigh out the pros and cons too...When more and more decide that it is feasible for them, despite the huge cost, it makes me question US Cellular's stance.
2. Is the Iphone the greatest phone ever? That is very debatable. But what is not debatable is that it is wi...

It cant be. It is based on personal oppinion.
Don't want to base it on personal oppinion? Go by stats - based on stats it is not even CLOSE to the best phone ever.
Don't want to base it on stats? base it on customizability. Obviously, it comes in Dead last in that category.
This is not a debate anybody can win. The phone was made so that a baby could use it, that's why people like it so much, the general population is not technically inclined, they like big bright pictures and shiny things.
I rather see them put all that money they would have to give to Apple, and launch and expand their 4G network and give me a good 4g phone first.
Don't think that just because someone prefers the iPhone, they are not technically inclined. You are putting Android in a box that way.
