fasttap looks like it could have a considerable and positive impact on the future of data communications and otherwise computing on small devices (like phones).
I can't wait to get a phone with fasttap myself.

After using predictive text for so long...not sure i want any keyboard type input...would mind an easier way to make my own words up for my dictionary...but im kinda hooked on predictive text..
...
same here can't live w/o predictive txt
...
For everyone who's been using predictive text, this feature really isn't a great improvement. As far as being able to put in your own words, some of the newer phones such as the Motorola v710, you can add your own words and it learns which ones you use more often for words that share keys.
The FasTap keys, I think, will make texting more available to new users and existing wireless customers that don't text because they can't get the hang of the input.

This phone doesn't have integrated bluetooth. Therefore it is a waste of time.
...
I don't think everyone is looking for bluetooth. It may be a waste of time for you but not for others.

To some extent, I agree. I think that saavy end users enjoy the bluetooth technology which makes mobile life much easier for PDA users. I understand that most manufacturers are going to have phones that are not bluetooth ready. Why? Simply because there will never be a free bluetooth phone. As well, most bluetooth phones will not be cost effective. Most people want a free phone. This is why the samsung R225 has lasted so long; because it's free.

geez. thats one of the ugliest keypads i have EVER seen,
...
actually even in places where people could care less for free phones (like europe) because their are none they would rather not pay the extra 100.00 dollars for a phone with bluetooth compared to one with out.
