"It is banking on its Mobile Fusion project..."
"The company hopes sales of BlackBerry 7...."

Hopes and Optimism do not save a company. They need to release BB 10 NOW. They won't last.

Release it now, then everybody calls it half baked...RIM would be done anyway in the US

Releasing a half finished product that isn't ready to be released simply so you can say you released something is a really bad business strategy....as RIM found out last year with the Playbook....and Microsoft found out when it released Windows ME....and Apple found out when it released the Apple III...and well, the examples could be multiplied 100 fold.

If RIM wants to stay in business it needs to wait to release Blackberry 10 when it is ready.

Personally, I found the OS to have a couple of major flaws. I don't know if they were fixed in their OS7 or not but, when I owned the original Bold, i loved it, initially. Then i realized how inefficient it was. Constantly freezing and it drained a large portion of power from the battery, anytime I had to do a battery pull. Not to mention, rebooting the phone took too long. Well over a minute!

The other issues were hardware Limitations, when it cam to storage. While the Bold 9000 had a microSD slot and on board 1gig of storage, you could not install any apps to them. The phone shared app storage with the very limited memory that operated the OS. This for me, was the reason I stopped using Blackberry.

If you concentrate on making great products then you will sell them and make money, thus, your share price will go up and make the shareholders happy. He seems by his statements that he is worried about making the shareholders happy instead of making great products. Apple makes great products, tells the finance (bean counters) to figure out how to pay for it and look at that, another successful device. Apple has now what RIM had just a few years ago: Market share and great products. RIM was caught flat footed and resting on their past achievements. OOPS. I've seen it in almost every company I've worked in the past. Plus management doesn't take wel...

This country voted on "Hope and change" the last presidential election. Here we are over 3yrs later, look how far "hope and change" got us!!!

Your right! "Hope" doesn't translate to much in the real world.
