This is further proof that republicans hate a fair and level playing field, and will use whatever tactics they can, no matter how devious, to get what they want.

Interesting concept. I will say that Conservatives are for reduced government intervention in the private sector, so what you see as devious behavior may just be an effort to remain true to themselves. Not certain that this bill will be a help or hindrance to consumers. Probably won't matter because the liberals in the Senate want to keep their fingers in everything anyway. It probably won't pass.

I really really don't want to argue politics, especially republican politics, but there has always been a devious quality to the republicans, it's their own falut.

I agree, probably won't pass.

I would be interested in a smaller government. I don't like the FCC having so much power...government always abuses power.

Nobody is saying that corporations don't abuse power. The difference is that big government abusing power has a direct effect on the lives of the people they are supposed to be representing and protecting. Corporate power abuses can cause harm, but it's more indirect and corporations do not have an obligation to protect citizens of this country.

Ever since after Ronald Reagan, Republicans always seem to be on the wrong side. What an unfortunate shame.
