"Sprint will now forage ahead with long-time 4G partner WiMax in creating its LTE network"
Confused. Why did they need LS to begin with though? Cause they were gonna be ready with LTE first?
...
I think the article has poor wording, I didn't know that sprint had a partner that was named "WiMax". Isn't wimax the name of a high-speed wireless data technology ?
...
I'm not sure how one "forages" ahead either. Clearwire is the company that provided Sprint with WiMax and is working FORGING ahead with LTE.

Im confused too, so does this mean that sprint will continue to expand on their wimax 4g and drop the LTE that they have been campaigning that launches this summer? Or is Wimax also going to be phased out as already planned.
So what's going to happen with the Sprint Galaxy Nexus that launches soon that's been advertised as Sprints first LTE phone?
The GNex isn't WiMax compatible from what I understand.
...
No, no, no. Clearwire is working on LTE at this point. Sprint launched 4G with WiMax... mostly to try to be first. I haven't heard anything about a WiMax phase out as I believe it's still part of the Network Vision plan at the moment. But Sprint, Clearwire and a few other companies are in conjunction working on implementing LTE on Sprint's network.

"Another One Bites the Dust" (1980) by Queen comes to mind here.
It is strange if you still have the vinyl record version of this song, and you play it back-wards you can barely make out the lyrics "Lightsquare to the rescue. . . ." Who would have known??
😳 😲
...
Two reasons: Spectrum and money. They would have a spectrum hosting deal with LS to give them cash and have additional LTE spectrum. LS did it so they wouldn't have to build out a nationwide network and save them billions.
