Pursuing patent licensing or not ie: destroy the competition by going thermonuclear is financing its own survival by using patents against the competition. Difference here is that Apple had no intention of licensing while complaining in Europe that Moto/Google was being unfair by not allowing fair licensing terms. Fair or not an effort was made to license in Europe while Apple on the other hand tipped the scales and was neither by pursuing elimination of the competition. 😎 😎 😎 😎

Well, actually Apple this week offered settlement terms.....


So apparently Tim Cook and the Apple board of directors are a little more amenable to reason than Steve Jobs was....

Steve jobs was a psychotic joke, he was great at feeling what people wanted but hardly an innovator. I agree with you though, Tim Cook seems to be more amenable and more reasonable than Steve ever was. I was leaning away from their products due to Job's behavior but with the way Cook is handling things it might convince me otherwise now.

My problem has never been Apple's products, per se....my problem is Apple's ridiculously restrictive policies and their desire to want to control everything...


Everyone talks about how well Apple products run...well....it's easy to make something run well when you have complete control over every aspect of the product, control over all the hardware, control over all the software, control over every aspect of the user experience and they impose ridiculous restrictions and limitations on their products, so that things which EVERY OTHER product can do Apple products can't.....and they achieve their 'ease of use' by dumbing down the UI to the point where a child can use it....which is NOT always a good thing!
