Screen Freezing

Has anyone else experienced the screen freezing when a call comes in, during a call, or playing a game?
No not me
Yes, locked up at the conclusion of a phone call. Had to force a reboot. push down and hold power and both volume adjustment buttons at same time. Phone will reboot and I did not loose anything. Your mileage may vary.

USB Connection to PC?

Hi. I have a Razr and just tried to connect it using the USB connection. My PC tells me device driver not recognized. I tried to download & install a PC Charger Driver from Motorola, but no luck. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get my PC to pick up my Razr as a USB device on my PC? Thanks!
Hi again. I just found the answer to my question on another forum. I was using my wire from my Droid to connect to PC. When I used the one that came with the Razr, it worked with no problems. Weird, but that was the problem.

Music in Mono :(

I used stereo headphones (that work!) for the first time with music on my Droid Razr and listened to Pandora and the audio only came out of one ear. Is this normal? I looked for a setting that might be set to mono but couldn't find anything. Please help.

Battery Life

What are some the ways you save battery life on this phone besides the smart actions??
Taking widgets on the home screen that are constantly loading. this is the main cause of battery drain. if you have a lot of widgets on the home screens then thats going to affect your battery because these widgets are constantly running.
Don't use it... That always saves my battery life.
I use two things, even though people tell me they dont work... I think they do. I downloaded 2X battery, it kills the internet when my screen goes dead and advanced task killer, and set it on the second highest setting (I forget what its called).

data and tethering connection problems...anyone else?

I'm on my 2nd razr and I'm still having multiple data connectivity issues...the phone regularly drops its data connection then reconnect, additionally tethering has been virtually useless, right now I'm writing this on the phone while my laptop is connected to its hotspots in a 4g/LTE coverage area and my laptop (nor my ipad) can browse websites but they are both connected to the hotspots...at the same time my phone is browsing without a problem (albeit its dropped the data connection twice while I was typing this, but reconnected both times).

Anyone else seeing this issue? Know of a resolution? Verizon doesn't seem to even know the issue exists and can't find a solution.

Razr Dead?

Question...

Bought the Razr....played with it til it died...plugged it in for the night then the next day it would not turn on no matter what was done to it. Even with it plugged in to charge and not. The only thing that worked was the flashing green light at the top.

What would cause this?? Any suggestions for fixing it?
How did you charge it? I have noticed that if I charge it via the USB it will not charge from a 0% battery - only if I attach it to the wall...

Outlook App

Just got the Droid Razr and love it! Does anyone know if there is an Android app that will enable me to sync with Microsoft Outlook?

Calendar Issues

I have two google accounts synced. One WAS enabled to sync calendars but is not anymore. This is the account i signed the phone up with so I cannot delete it. The other IS enabled to sync calendars.

The account that WAS enabled still syncs and the calendars pop up when the phone is shut down and turned back on.

I cannot get the calendars that ARE synced to be the only ones visible.

Does this make sense? HElp! Thanks!

Can't remove the battery?

Really Motorola? In this day and age you make a phone you can't remove the battery? So now we have to go the apple route and pay $50+ and send in our phone to get the battery replaced?

Very lame. ☹️
It's the thinnest Android phone in the US, if not the world. The battery is the compromise. It's the only way to make it that thin.

Cry me a river on the battery

I've never replaced a battery on any phone and i've owned many smart phones including Android

Its got a good sized battery so life should be solid, something like 1750mah

You can reboot it by holding the power an...

Possible Screen Problem

So......I got the razr today. Awesome phone to start with, but as I was programming it, I noticed that when there is an all black screen that there are lines or ink blot looking things in the screen. The lines do not show up under normal use or when there are colors other then black displayed If you want to see what I am talking about, turn off the flash on the camera, cover up the camera lens and take a picture so you end up with a black picture. Now view that picture in a dark room and you will most likely see black lines or ink plot looking marks in the screen. Rest assured, I went back to the Verizon store immediately and there happened to be a Motorola Representative there at the time. I asked to speak with him. I actually looked at his...

That is common with Samsung's OLED screens. Samsung does make the panel in the RAZR. When you crank the brightness way down and/or view very dark grays, there can be "streaks". That's just natural variation in the material. The "O" in OLED stands for ...

You can't be serious to write this whole harang. This is a very minor issue IMHO. A great phone and a great display unless you are looking at a black screen in a dark room lol.

Any Calling/Connection/Text problems out there?

I just bought the razr a few days ago and VZW just replaced it yesterday; thinking/HOPING the first one I got just happened to be a dud.

Basically it wouldn't make calls or ring when someone was calling on occassion; same with texts. It would work, then not, then work, then not etc...I would have to do the "resend text message" a bunch of times before it would send one, in a good 4g coverage area with full bars...Or make a call and it would go to the screen as though it's connecting the call but would never ring; multiple times, different numbers etc. Called the phone from another phone and it wouldn't ring etc.

VZW forced me to do a hard reset, same problem, so they swapped it and the SIM card just in case.

The phone worked fine ...

Sometimes she does funny things, like force close and not ring with the selected contact tone, but i've never couldnt get things through with a strong LTE signal.

Otterbox & docking

Does anyone know if the Razr will dock without taking it out of an Otterbox. (either style of Otterbox)?

Thanks in advance!
You have to take off the case to dock.

hmmm.

The entire RAZR series was crap (V, V3M, KRZR, RIZR, ROCKR, Sliver, etc) and The MOTO Droid line has been Crap ..... Coupled with a Captive Battery .... I'm thinking ...mmm total crap....

Unless you have a cult like following like Apple..... You should not attempt a captive battery... Just ask Handspring with the Treo 600 the phone that put them out of business then Palm took over and the joke of the century the Samsung UpStage...

Hmm a smartphone with the namesake of a line that was known for crap Battery Life making a model with a captive battery .... As we all know Droids are known for their GREAT battery life anyway.. mmmm makes complete sense.
As if the Razr V3M and the Droid Razr should ever be compared anyway.
The bionic is my 3rd Motorola DROID (x, x2 and now bionic) and I've had / used many other droids (HTC's, samsungs etc) and Iphones including the 4 on AT&T and verizon...motorolas droids are hands down the best out there...period (imho).

The reliabi...

First off look at the guys name MadFatMan... that should tell you something.... As for comparing the Droid razr with the older versions in the Razr line is completely stupid and shows you that this guy is a MORON...
