Looking for some place to buy

I have service through Cell one and they want 726$ for this phone but I dont want to pay that much. Where is the best place to buy safe but cheap?

I looked at ebay and saw things like "battery light blinks for no reason but other than that phone is in great shape" is that normal for this phone

Warning: AT&T says Note is a tablet & must return in 14 days

They claim the Note is not a phone and not subject to the 30-day return rule. $345 early termination fee b/c I returned it on day 16!
I thought, AT&T's Tablet policy, was 14 days to return/exchange the device AND remain a customer but if you wanted to return it and cancel the service completly you still had 30 days?
...
I work for AT&T and can tell you it IS a phone. Return policy is 30 days like any other phone. If you're buying it from an Authorized Retailer, their return policy may vary.

simply just..

its simply just way too big, unless you use the calling feature with a bluetooth 100% of the time
many people said the X was going to flop due to a massive screen.... and it was a huge success and was follow by several droids the same size... 2012 is the year of the 5 inch smartphone screen... which i look forward to

I want a tablet phone. Darn it, they just don't make screens big enough! It may take both hands to hold the massive device next to my head and need a belt holster the size of Noah's Ark but I wanna big phone!

I'm joking of course, I hate these ma...

Yeah...

I was about to buy this despite the size because it had all of the features I want, but due to the unusually large size I decided to head to Best Buy and check it out to be sure I could deal with the size.

Boy, am I glad I checked it out...

Using the Note as a GPS

Hi.
Do any of you have physical expierence using the Note as a stand-alone GPS device.?? I want to explore some of the Mountains, and A.T., and other Remote places (where there's No Cell phone coverage available - by any carrier).
Thanks, I am very interested if the Note can function in this capacity - as a stand-alone GPS device.
I use the Note as a GPS device while driving, with Co-Pilot Live as the application software. I'm not sure whether its the larger screen or the latest version, but it is a much improved user experience over both my iPhone and HTC Inspire.

For walk...

No ICS on launch

Tsk! Tsk!
While I understand what you're saying. Outside of the GN, no phone "offically" has ICS. I'm sure it will have it sometime.

Leaving Sprint early for the Note

I am leaving Sprint early in order to get this phone when it's released. My contract end date is March 26, so pretty close. Any tips on avoiding penalties?
You can try telling them you are mentally handicapped and don't understand what an early termination fee. Otherwise you can wait a little less than a month to buy a different phone.

Is it out?

Seems PS took the tentative off the info section. Was in Best Buy today for another reason, they still don't have them out, nor will they sell them till tomorrow.
Ya it's out
$250.00 at Amazon.

Make sure you keep your old data plan, in case you have unlimited data now.

At&t deceptive pricing – unlimited extra $100 for the phone

Preordered mine, but the price on the web site said 399 - 100 instant rebate. My shopping cart ended up not getting the $100 instant rebate. Called AT&T to see if that was a mistake on the web, and of course they said, since you opted to "KEEP UNLIMITED DATA, you are not eligible for $100 rebate."

Needles to say, I talked to the manager, tried to persuade them about my (wife's) low data usage, keeping 10+ years customers happy. Nothing worked. I canceled the order and will move on to Verizon as soon as I figure what phone to get there. The Note (version of) is coming to them as well. At least the VZ has LTE network too.
And I was wondering IF AT&T was going to allow one to keep the unlimited data plans with this phone period. At $499 and no rebate, instant or otherwise, I think I would just spend a bit more and get the international one. No contract, exynos cpu and...

I suggest that you go into a store instead of the website. Prices vary from website to store. It's only online that there is a rebate, in stores the Note is just $299.99. No matter what data package you go with. So before you switch to another carrier...

Don't know--

--what Samsung was thinking with this one.
that they just sold me a new phone!!!
They were thinking of people like me! I have MS and I currently carry a phone and the original 7" Galaxy Tab. The problem for me is that with my decreased hand dexterity, juggling two or three devices results in dropped devices and frustration. Whe...

Why...?

The Note makes a great first impression on impulse-buyers -- which will account for most of it's sales. Purchasers will find themselves constantly defending the device when others point out the impracticality of it as a daily-driver. A few will love it, however, most will regret their purchase within a few months.

Coming to Craigslist ads and Ebay auctions soon 🙄
this "phone" is for those who don't really use the phone much... I CANT WAIT MUST HAVE NOW BUT I AM TO CHEAP TO PAY FULL PRICE FOR INTL UNLOCKED VERSION!!!!!!!!
it depends on your lifestyle. some people call for a device such as this one. personally i use bluetooth 99 percent of the time so the phone being tucked away in my edc bag or jacket pocket will not get in my way. my gsII felt big at first. now it's j...

FINALLY -

When the Dell Streak came out I KNEW it was only a little while before something MUCH better would come out. That it is a bit larger is only a BONUS. The Streak to be about the perfect size, but the screen and OS version lacked a LOT. I can't believe it is finally coming. AND, in multiple colors. Dell could have had a real winner if they had actually promoted the Streak, but Samsung now has the ball and is obviously on a roll. Already over a million sold, and they aren't even in the best market yet (USA). I can only hope that they also are available on Sprint. I will really have heartburn if I have to switch to ATT just to get the ideal phone. Have you seen the lineup of available accessories? I guess having it come out a few months earlier ...
