Sprint Throttles Top 1% of Users, Still Markets 'Unlimited'
I work with sprint and can honestly say this is the first I've heard of this.
I'm fairly shocked. I'm curious if Rich or Eric read this what their opinion on the situation is.

Abuse unlimited ?
By definition unlimited means limitless. Something that is limitless, and without end, and is offered and paid for under the guise that it is unlimited, can not be abused, only used.
Sprint is no longer the only carrier that offers fully/truly unlimited data, now, none of them do. Anybody can become the top 1%, and anybody can have their speeds throttled.

Semantics. Using 20+ GB of data per month is something I think most reasonable people would consider abusing.
Of course, I would excpet that 20+ GB would be the top .01% of users! It should be intersting to see where the cut lies.

But everyone else doesn't offer unlimited data. Sprint keeps trimming the fat, eventually the knife's going to go into the bone.

And if that's the attitude of their CEO, I can easily understand why. What better example can be found of American pragmatism in business than to discount the value of the few in favor of the many? This is the same filthy company that successfully tried to leverage the power of the Federal government to stop the AT&T buyout of T-Mobile.

Try T-Mobile prepaid; at least their data policies are clear-cut and objective, and they're not run by some simpering douchenozzle.

Throttle? Its already slow
Yeah i couldnt resist. If were talking about CDMA and not WiMax, then yes am serious about how they can throttle an already trouble system.
Dont get me wrong, i stil love sprint but to often i get a very slow data connection. Again, on CDMA.

My daughter, her husband and several of my friends have Sprint and they have been subject to this for quite some time.
I always laugh when I see those commercials.
