power button dosen't work

I was in love with this phone when I got it. I have had it about six months and it did everything it was supposed to. Last week sometime my power button decided to stop working. This means I can not manually lock my phone and I have to take the battery out to turn it off. Today my options screen started popping up when I close the phone or open it like I have tried to push the power button. This is really frustrating me. I would love to have my phone working again. Any one have any ideas? I have done the factory reset and updates and all of that. I'm wondering if it is possible to open it up and see if something may be under the button or something.

I am considering buying this phone but have question about web

Hi, I want to know, in order to use/browse the web and download/use apps must I always have a wifi connection? And if there is no wifi signal will I not be able to do those things? Reason I ask is because I do not see any data plans Boost Mobile provides, all it says is unlimited wifi, wireless web. Please help. 🙄
As long as you have 3G you will be able to do everything. I have samsung prevail with 3G & dont need the wifi. Its just a plus. I never need it. Enjoy the phone....

Ultra vs. Standard?

After some brief research I'm looking forward to the arrival of the new Transform Ultra, though similar to the standard Transform in many ways it appears that Samsung has worked out a good number of the kinks that were present in the first generation Transform.

For instance the Transform Ultra is sporting the new 2.3 Gingerbread OS while the original Transform is only shipped with the 2.2 FroYo, this teamed with the step from a standard 800MHZ samsung processor up to a 1GHZ snapdragon should help eliminate alot of the lag and slow loading that alot of people seemed unpleased with in the first generation. Also im sure that the Transform Ultra will take the step into the 4G era, so theres another plus for those of you fortunate enough to li...

Very well said. I'm looking forward to hearing from users once this phone has been out for a while. I am very disappointed with the Galaxy Prevail I got for my girlfriend and I'm hoping this will be a good replacement. Sounds like it would almost have...
