International PTT roaming

Sprint also noted that it will begin to offer international PTT roaming in select countries starting in 2012.



That's not how I read the press release, but perhaps I missed something.
From Sprint's press release today:

"Additionally, in 2012, international push-to-talk calling to select countries will also begin rolling out to help support our current customers with international push-to-talk needs."

2005 Called, They Want Their Technology Back

This would have been exciting news 6 years ago.
I have several contractor friends that find this equally exciting news even today.

For someone that advertises a CB shop, I would think you would be happy about the most quintessential form of 2 way radio making important news.

Working with guys in the construction field this is exciting news, they sure love their Nextel Direct connect. As an IT guy, I just don't get it.
I really liked the direct connect. But as we all know, sprints network is the smallest next to tmobile. Forget using your phone in rural America like I tried to do. I have drivin up to 250 miles with nextel and had no service.
