Which Blackberry?

So I have been mandated at work to get a Blackberry. I use an iPhone 4 and love it. Which Blackberry should I get that would be the easiest for me to get used to using?
Since you are already used to the large screen real estate of the iPhone the Torch 9850 is the closest match to it.

The learning curve on blackberry products is more than you had on the iPhone unfortunately. The reward once you get used to it is th...

Torch 9850 or Bold 9930 (with qwerty)?

I'm researching Smart Phones. Given that I'm still in the stone age (flip phone), I'm not going to be very big on apps or screen size. I've settled on BB. The major difference I see between the Bold 9930 and Torch 9850 is the physical vs virtual keyboard? I wont be doing emails on the phone but a little texting. Which one is a better choice?
One of the things that sold me on full touch screen phones was just being able to use the phone easier on them. The dial pad is large and easy to use when you want the phone.
The dial pad on a Bold is a little bit smaller.

The Bold 9930 is going t...

iPhone back to Blackberry impressions

What a dedicated Blackberry addict I am even if it's to the bitter end Laughing

My fling with the iPhone is now history and I have a brand new 9850 in my hands...whoopi Very Happy

First thing I did was go to Seidio's website and order a case, holster and mandatory screen protectors. I like their products a lot because you are not pulling off the case to put the phone in a dock every night. Except...there is no dock for this thing yet from Seidio Shocked

Like Stormsurvivor says, the screen protectors don't cover the entire exposed surface of the phone because the screen is all one piece of seamless plastic. We will see how this holds up over time.

Other interesting things:
-The lock button is now top center which is completely covered if in m...
Welcome back, Hawk, you may now share in the multitude of disgust from the BB Community as it pertains to general RIM ineptitude. Thousands are outraged with the delay of the PoopBook 2.0 update.Might come out in 60 days or by the 2015! ...
Don't lose your sales receipt...remember, 2 years is a long time...ya have 14 days for therapy. ... »

Anyone trying the free RIM apps?

Hated Drive Safely Pro- After my blackberry started reading my emails allowed in a crowded fast food restaurant and I couldn't easily shut it off, I threw this one in the can Laughing

Shazam encore-Lots of fun and seems to work really well guessing the songs. Love this app!

I have always been a fan of Sim City. Sim City Deluxe is great nostalgia for me. The Sims 3 I just don't get how to play easily and for that reason I won't be playing it much Sad

I still need to play around with the others. Vlingo is the best thing I got after I dumped Siri Laughing

A morning of inconvenience with delayed emails gets me all this. Nice gesture. If this happens a couple of more times maybe I'll get to try every app in AppWorld Laughing
I tried their free crapware. Had the free version of Vlingo and it worked fine. Down-dated this free (Pro version for the junior league pc. of junk "gift" and it only recognizes 19 of my 479 contacts! More RIMPILE failware. The comments on CrapWorld...

Blackberry to iPhone impressions

Well my move from the Storm 2 to an iPhone 4s is not without it's problems. I may be back, but I am still on the fence about it.

Siri is cool and almost a smart@ss at times. Best voice recognition system out there but thats not saying much because I never thought much of these systems
-no crashes, some momentary freezes, seamless and fluid device
-fun device for the masses that can make everyday life easier and ...yea...that word

Anyone know you can't have iPhone and a desktop email clients running POP3 at the same time without issues? If both are set to check every few minutes or so, one of them will lock you out and not retrieve email. Outlook on my desktop is full of error codes. A...
Thanks. Excellent, practical thoughts. I was thinking about jumping ship to become an Idweeb, but will wait for a while. Still running my Storm 1 and have yet to see how an Iphone, or even a Torch 9850, would be enough of an improvement t...

No Video chat eh?

Ok, I think I answered my own question but if anyone is sure can you please respond; no front facing camera?! Not a deal breaker, just want to know.
i didn't see one, but hey! That could be a plus depending on how you look at it. There are a lot of ugly faces out there Laughing

Not Upgradable to QNX ?

Have a storm 2 now and like the BB OS but longing for a better web experience. Verizon store suggested it could be upgraded to QNX but web search looks like that needs two processors. I cabn't be stuck with another lame duck for 2 years and will probably be switching to Android or IPhone 5. Just wanted to comment.
Guess I've annointed myself to be the dumb question responder. The Storm2 upgradeable to QNX? What weed have you and that Verizon store guy been smoking? Your lucky the Storm even boots up.

As bad as Blackberry Crapware has become, please don't ...

BB FAIL!! Storm 2 vs Torch 9850

Love love loved my Storm 2, however it was sluggy, that was my only gripe. Waited so patiently and dealt with iPhone ridiculers until the monza, monaco then finally TORCH came out.

This phone sucks. Someone said it best, Its a lot of fun to "get info from" but horrible to "input info into". The keypad experience is super duper duper wack,

I was so happy to know this phone came with SURETYPE, but its not the same and when in portrait mode that little arrow that opens and closes the keyboard is a disaster. It tests my patience when im typing I cant help in anyway not to tap it and close my keyboard, the keys are small and close centered. its a disaster = FAILED KEYBOARD.

I wont even start on Landscape mode. enough said - go go gadget...

Great Phone!

Is it just me or is this phone flawless? Very Happy

Has anyone had any issues that I need to look for? The only issues I have had are compatibility issues with other apps I had previously purchased for the Curve.
Its You, the phone has major flaws. Typing experience is abysmal.... ... »

Also, it suffers from a new RIM touch screen Technology......Sure Scratch

What day is it coming out?
There is an Aug 21st date floating around with Sprint right now. End of August or early September would be the best guess. No exact date yet.
