What I was Waiting For?

Loved the original Bold but really wanted the touch screen (for doing almost everything else except typing!). It was so hard giving it up but got the Torch. Loved the touch screen but did not like the keypad (too small). The Torch is also slow in some applications (including the calendar). Also did not like the slider, phone does not feel solid. Can't wait to try the Touch Bold. Shoot, I gave my wife the Bold (she does not like the Torch at all) and she has all my nice bold accessories which she will never give me back! Comment about the screen, I personally never use the internet on my cell and don't need the bigger screen of the Torch. Most of the websites I do go to have mobile versions of their websites that work just fine. Glad ...

Close but no cigar

I love the specs, I really do. I just hate looking at the phone. If I were to purchase this phone, what "ahh" factor would I get? How and what BB device can I purchase thats going to make me feel/look superior to others? If I buy this phone, the old bb users are not going to feel left behind when looking at my phone and I won't feel like I'm out doing them by looking at their phone and looking at mines, because they all "Look" the same!!!

I know some ppl are going to say what about the iPhone. At least the iPhone itself is of the higher class sort to speak. It gives its users not only a in-croud feeling but a I'm sh*ting on you and your phone attitude to its users. That's what BB needs desperately and I don't see them achieving that by th...

Seriously? What do you want? Matching purse and pumps to go along with it?

Sorry. This phone will do nothing to overcome your inferiority complex. P...

You're getting there, RIM!

But you're still convinced that BlackBerry OS is a viable alternative to iOS and Android.

Guess what: you are incapable of becoming a serious competitor to other manufacturers without scrapping BB OS. Adopt Android and reap the profits.

I remember when I suggested that to my BB rep a few months ago. His response was that BB6 was Android. For a millisecond, I thought he literally meant that the new OS was a hybrid BB/Android OS or something awesomely cool like that. Sadly, he didn't.

And then I was like "lolwut?". RIM makes excellent hardware, but they cannot compete in the OS department. Perhaps I am just a myopic consumer, but can't we all agree that Apple and Google pretty much have the mobile operating system market by ...

No, iOS will not allow anybody to adopt their OS. LOL good try though, sounds good. So for that reason not to just have two OS's to chose from, we need BB OS and WPM to work

I'm sure glad you aren't RIM's CEO. RIM has MI...
