E-Mail

Just got my Incredible 2 last week. Pretty nice so far, but my biggest problem is the syncing of my yahoo and gmail e-mail. When I read an e-mail on my PC, it doesn't show up as read on my phone. So I have to read it twice to clear it out. Is that how it's supposed to work? I'm new to Android altogether, but my windows mobile phone would sync and show my e-mails as read no matter where I read them (PC or on the phone). Anybody?

Is there a alarm clock???

I recently upgraded from a Incredible to the Incredible 2. On the old phone there was a specific app called "clock" where i used the alarm clock feature. On my new phone i dont see that app...does this phone not have a alarm clock? If it does, can you tell how i can get to it please.
Go to your applications menu (box on left lower side of your screen, Open it and "clock" will be in there. Tap on the clock face and the alarm clock will show up on the bottom taskbar tray. Tap on it and it opens for you to set your parameters. OR, i...

What is Fast Boot??

Like i know if you have that option checked your phone will boot up faster after turned off.... Are there any positive or negatives for having this feature activated/on??
Fast Boot is a feature that only opens specifically-designated apps when you boot it up. You go into your apps settings and designate the apps you want to have activated automatically and it works within the Fast Boot feature. Its a GOOD thing.

My long review

Okay, I posted this in another thread, but I really should have just started a new one. I didn't realize I would be limited to 2000 characters when posting under the Reviews tab. So I am re-posting my original review here, in case anyone who reads my short review wants to read my full version (they can find it easier).

I have had my DINC2 for not quite 2 full days now, and so far I am LOVING it! It is very similar to the original, which as I've said before, is fine by me. It's why I've chosen to stick with HTC for a long time to come. They may not have changed it up dramatically, but it's still a worthy follow-up.
I noticed the Dinc2 has skins now, which I like because it gives you the option of having a different looking interface from...

Nice review. My experience with the Dinc 2 is similar. Signal inside my house is not the greatest, but I'm not having any problems - reception is as good as my LG enV Touch. I don't worry about the "bars" since they seem to fluctuate a lot. Batter...

Thanks for the great review. I've been considering this phone. I have the Incredible 1. I'm curious to see how the 2 compares to the 1 in terms of battery life. I love my Incredible 1, but the battery life is terrible. That's my one and only gripe wit...

I am sorry to bother you with this question. I read your long review on HTC Incredible 2. I am very impressed with it. So I thougfht that you might be able to help me on an issue that I have with the Incredible 2.

On the World Clock page on my Incr...

World Clock Current Location

I got my HTC Incredible 2 few days ago. However, I just realized that the Current location set in the World Clock page is set on the America/Detroit. However, I am in Virginia now. I couldn't change the Current location to my current city. Any one knows how to fix this problem? Thanks.

What a disgrace...

...definitely not worthy to be the successor to the original DI.

With 3G only, single core, laughable internal storage, no Gingersense, and 480x800 resolution, they totally screwed this up. Consumers who want an okay, 3G, single-core solution will go with the Thunderbolt. The DI2 is a joke device. It should have been released on April 1st.

Good comparison here:

In the very near future, Verizon is going to find itself stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Not sure what you mean by GingerSense. Do you mean Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) beneath the Sense UI? What features are available in 2.3 that make it so important?

Whether or not the Dinc 2 is a good choice depends on circumstances. I don't have LT...

phone shut itself off

Just wondering I got the phone on may 1st and it has shut it self off 2x. The battery was fully changed.anybody else seen this problem? thanks for any help
I got my phone on 4-28 and I've not had any unexpected shutdowns. You might want to pull the battery and re-seat it. I would definitely exchange it if it continues. I believe you have a 14 day window.

Dialing Alert

Just got the Dinc2 and was wondering if anyone else noticed that the phone does not vibrate when connecting a call like the Dinc1?
My Dinc 2 both vibrates and rings when a call comes IN, but not when I dial a call. Is that what you mean. Why would the phone vibrate when placing a call?

doesn't this phone have 4g???

i mean i may be off base but i was under the impression that this phone would also be a 4g? while i know that verizon will continue to be offering 3g but i mean isnt this supposed to be a 4g phone? if it isnt a 4g phone that makes me worry that the rumored droid x2 will really be just a 3g phone 😢
It's 3G only. How sad.
If it were 4G, it would be a larger phone. It would be the Thunderbolt. What's the point in that? Not to mention, they haven't come out with a 3G phone for Verizon in forever, so it was needed. Some of us won't be getting 4G anytime soon (in the next ...

Picked up the Droid Incredible 2 today

I decided to get the Dinc 2 today. First impression is very good. I'm coming from the enV Touch, not a different smartphone, so this is a big step up. The upgrade price in the store was the same as online, however there was an upgrade fee of $20. That was the only charge I wasn't expecting. I don't know if that charge would have been included had I ordered from the website, but no big deal.

The rep activated the phone and downloaded all my contacts (I had been using the backup assistant on the env touch). I also setup my gmail account and made sure my mail and calendar were syncing. The rep wanted to sell me an accessories pack and when I declined he made a point about needing to keep the case and screen flawless if I wanted to b...

No Reviews?

I'm surprised to see that there are still no reviews for this phone. I'm really excited to hear more about it and see if it's worth getting. I have the Incredible now, and I love everything about it except the battery life - I'm changing it 3 times per day currently, and yes I use Advanced Task Killer. If the battery on the Incredible 2 is enough of an improvement I may get it. What I like about it so far (just based on specs) is that it's about the same size as the original incredible - a lot of new phones now that are coming out are huge. It's supposed to be a bit quicker as well, and with a different battery I'm hoping that battery life will improve.

For me right now it's between the Incredible 2 and iPhone4. Or wait for something els...
