Replacement Q, problem still persists!

I purchased my phone on 06/01 and everything seemed to be working fine until I noticed that when someone calls my phone and after the call is over, if I decide to save the number in my contacts, I hit SAVE and then punch in their first and last name along with the number they had called from say for ex. MOBILE and while I'm there, if I know their home and work numbers as well, I tried punching those in and it wouldn’t let me. I am only able to type in alphabets even with the ALT key selected. I called motorola and their Level 3 tech support had to help and they tried the same thing while I was on the phone with them and apparently it worked for them and said my Q was defective and go exchange it for a new one. I did that today (06/07) and ...

WOW Great Review

Wow what a great review and I concur with 98% of what was said.

The only thing that seems to miss slightly is the following:

"Typing a name into the address field does not accomplish anything, it is not matched with the contact list."

I have 1400 contacts and when I type a name about 3-4 letters, type the message and hit send, it prompts me with a list of match selections. This is better than nothing, but far from blackberry messaging.

1 quick question about the Q's camera...........ON 1 mp quality or even video at the highest guality does the Q offer the availability to zoom in and out?

thanks in advance.
that would be on the extra's portion of the review... there appears the menu selection of "ZOOM" which may or may not provide what you are looking for
I purchase the Q phone. It is really awesome. Except for no wireless b/g, no modem, wm5 pocketpc os, it has wm5 smartphone os. If these are added to unit it will be untouchable in my opinion. There would be only few devices with the same functionality...

There is a 6x digital zoom in “Still” mode. There is not a zoom in video mode – at least that I have found. The camera works surprisingly well. This one is actually usable. Of course keep in mind that the Q replaces a Treo 600 which had a useles...

Very good full review- my comments

Thanks for the extensive review. I learned a couple things that even the Verizon rep didn't know about. Smile I have been using it since June 2nd.

A couple of things you may have missed...
The battery level indicator has a habit of getting stuck at full, then suddenly jumps down to half(this was corroborated with the Verizon store unit).
The mini-SD port cover is extremely difficult to open. Even with a tiny, sharp screwdriver(btw- it opens from the side adjacent to the IR port).
There is no quick, one-key-press way of putting the phone in silent/vibrate mode(such as holding down the # key in a Samsung).
Page 75 of the manual says that to disconnect a web session you should press the "End Session" key. Confused Where is it? I have to continu...

I played with a Q this weekend, coming from a Wizard owner I wasn't none impressed however it is extremley thin and well built.

Overall this phone is exactly what I figured it would be which is a phone to steal the BB users away.

For $199 you ca...
