Wow... it is embarrassing that it has taken sprint this long to come up with a properly working PTT replacement for iDEN... It will nearly be 10 years in 2013.

Sprint, what is the point?
If you are going to shut down iDEN by the end of 2013, then what is the point of releasing new handsets and selling a service that costs you money? Granted, I love NEXTEL when I had it, but then I moved to an area where Sprint has poor coverage in general so I switched to VZW, but that's beside the point.
If you are going to shut down iDEN, Sprint, then do it now and stop wasting what money you have left.

They cannot simply shut off the iDen network (even though they never should have bought Nextel in the first place). They have to have a migration path for those iDen customers to go to. As long as they are keeping the network up they may as well lau...

Sign a 2 year contract in 2011...
So yea, sign a 2yr. contract say feb 2011, and watch them shut down your area jan 2013 hmmm then pay the ETF LOL...
Why would anyone sign a contract in 2011/2012 for 2 years just to have the network gone b4 the contract is haha.

Im sure they wouldn't make there iden customers pay the etf if THEY shut down the network that would make no sense. Im assuming they would offer to convert them over to the Cdma side
