HP to the rescue?

even though i'm about android...my brother has sprint's pre and i thought it had plenty of potential. now with hp in the mix i believe palm will get the boost it desperately needs
I hope so as a former Pre owner they are going to need all the help they can get.

Yeah, whatever.

I'll believe it when I see it. Palm's been promising the flash player for the WebOS all year and we still don't have it. Good riddance to a company that did well with the Centro, and failed miserably with the Pre.
People still dont read. Palm is lame but they aren't responsible for flash dumb dumb. Adobe is providing flash not palm
Adobe

1) Can't provide a decent working copy of Flash player even for Android.

2) Despite wanting to be 'open' and 'cross platform' isn't working with anyone other than Google. Apple told them to go eat crow.

WebOS?

What's that? Oh that's right.... Thats the OS Palm thought would kill iOS but couldn't even manage to make a dent on Android. 🤣 🤣 🤣 FAIL!!!

Can't Wait!

WebOS is nothing short of a phenomenal OS. Despite only being a year old, it's extremely polished- things like multitasking, notifications, background controls, and application Management are all extremely well thought out- done with the intention of being the best . For the most part, it still is despite a fairly stagnant 6 months of development.

It's the very opposite of Android, where things are just done haphazardly ("Look, we've got multitasking! But no real decent way to control Pandora in the background!")

It desperately needs better hardware (I don't think the Pre is terrible but it feels like B-grade hardware at best, especially in the age of the iPhone 4 and Nexus One), and much better marketing. The Pre is for sale ...

It can't be all that polished if the first thing you need to do is install preware to put missing stuff on it that should have been on it in the first place.
