Live Wallpapers
Before I run out and buy this phone, will it have the ability to run live wallpapers? The "in depth" says that it doesn't right now. Is that a software issue or processor issue?
I believe this is going to be more of a processor issue. Solely based on the fact that the Aria is running 2.1 already, just like the Nexus One. Difference being that the Nexus has the 1ghz processor, where the Aria has only a MHz. The nexus one does ...

Audio Volume ...???
I'm really interested in the Aria but I've read some reviews indicating the ringtone volume is very low, speakerphone volume is very low, and call audio is low but can be enhanced by using the "hearing aid" setting (whatever that is).
Are these issues pretty prevalent in the Aria - or were they just isolated phone issues?

I have the Aria, and absolutely no problem hearing it. I think it's loud enough for the average person. I'm gonna say it's isolated issues.

Two Questions
Can you make the radio work without the headphones in other words can the radio play out loud. Also can it play youtube videos
I haven't tested it on the Aria yet, but on my other HTCs you have to have the headphones hooked up to it so it can use the cord as the FM antenna but you can listen to the radio through the loudspeaker on the phone.

You can play the radio through the speaker but the headphones have to be hooked up. It has an icon for youtube but I haven't tried it yet..

I was looking at getting this for my wife and she is a weather freak. Does the weather app support the radar view?
I have not got mine yet.. but.. looking at the Android apps you should be able to get it if it is not on the phone..

Looks like att will allow a decent android phone on the network after all.
The Galaxy looks even nicer! I'm actually kind of surprised that ATT is going through with it.

Sprint has the HTC Evo 4G,
Even T-Mobile has the HTC HD2.
ALL have 1Ghz Snapdragon processors.
ALL have higher resolution displays.
AT&T is not serving their customers with this phone. I guess Apple has them by their privates, or else we would at least be seeing something closer to the Nexus One as an alternative to the iPhone.

$200.00??? They're going to sell 4 of these.
$200.00 is pretty steep for something that is slower than a Nexus One, is littered with the terrible HTC Sense UI, won't ship with Android 2.2, and only comes with a 2GB Memory Card.
i hope steve jobs forces ATT to put iphone4 and this htc garbage next to each other! this will make even more people to get iphone4!

AT&T - WAKE UP!!!
When are you going to get it through your head that 1) not everyone wants an iPhone and 2) Apple doesn't care anything about you. Because you will not provide top of the line phones to compete with the iPhone, you are in big trouble when Apple finally starts selling to another carrier. You should be worrying about your customers, not Apple. Offer a Samsung Galaxy S that isn't "dumbed down" for AT&T. Offer a cousin to the EVO or Incredible (assuming they get the screen problems resolved). Quit trying to make us settle for tier 2 phones!!!!!
AT&T was the only other provider to get the Nexus One, which I think is a nicer phone than the Evo and especially the Droid Incredible.
It's one of the first phones to get Froyo, it's a lot faster than both, and doesn't have HTC's crappy Sense UI....

I am in now way an AT&T fan. However, it is good to see them adding more Android powered devices to their line up. Their consumers will now be able to experience what is becoming popular mainstream. Choice is always best.
They still need *more* choices! Supposedly there were suppose to be ?5? Android smartphones in the first half of this year.

700MHz Qualcomm processor - Seriously??
How come they release a 1Ghz Snapdragon processor on the other carriers, but only 700 MHz on AT&T. Granted it runs on the awesome Android OS, AT&T probably wanted to dumb down the phones to avoid upsetting SApple.

Appearently ATT is a story teller when it comes to putting out 5 supposed Android handsets in the first half of the year.
I hope they continue to lose customers to the Motorola Droid, Droid X and Droid 2, and Evo 4G. That's what happens to procrast...
