Bada and Meego === Failed OS's

The market is already saturated with OSes, the last thing we need is more. We need unifying forces not 15 completely incompatible OSes. But the manufacturers can only learn one way and one way only, when they lost money.

In one year, the OSes will be much fewer and all projects that will have not generated money will be halted immediately. We will then be left with
1) Android
2) Apple iphone OS
3) Blackberry
4) WinMO
5) [symbian] == Even though this OS will be completely irrelevant in north america, it still owns all others overseas. But in 1 year it will get crushed by other OSes and maybe dethroned permanently.
ahm... what qualifications to u have to make those predicitions? 🙄
and also its their money..let them do what they want with it.. android stands for being open and for development/innovations, if you only have this 5 OSes then there are lesser...

How many freakin platforms does their need to be? God Bless Competition... Where does it end tho?

Talk about market fragmentation....
It does not matter how many OS their will be. Android will be taking over, and will continue to strive to be the best.

I think it's smart for phone manufacturers to create their own OS's. It keeps people coming back to that same manufacturer a lot like folks generally always go back to Apple or Blackberry. There can be an Apple App Store and a Samsung, LG, Motorola Ap...

The progression has noticably been proprietory software. Each feature phone runs it's respective companies software and soon smartphones will. There is more money when it's in house. The apeal to use android is to gain market share early. They are all...

It may seem like a lot of fragmentation at the moment but within the next 2 years most of these players will drop off and we will be left with 3 primary MOS with maybe a 4th trying to play catch up.

1. Symbian S60/S^3
I'm running a beta S3 at the...
