Number of innovative HTC Smartphones:

Zero.

I'm for competition, but HTC needs to be brought out back and shot between the eyes.
Snippet from their actual response, with facts instead of opinions.

The industry has recognized HTC's contributions through a variety of awards including Fast Company's 2010 Top 50 Most Innovative Companies and MIT Technology Review's 2010 50 Most...

That's what you say about every company except Apple, and maybe Palm, and it's getting old pretty quic...

I have to disagree with you on this one. The Sense UI overlay is great. HTC has taken bland and overcomplicated operating systems and made them more easy and user friendly for your ordinary wireless customer.

The way I look at this, the industry has two choices. You can buy an Apple product or a Non-Apple product. Essentially the same choice as in the computer market. Either Mac or PC.

Apple, even though they make a good product, is losing ground to co...

Apple's just bitter...

Apple is just getting pissed that the focus is not all on them anymore. They were in the spot light for so long and now the have to share it. I've had 2 HTC phones and loved both, currently have the Hero from Sprint.

Just something to think about here too... Since AT&T is starting to sell Android based phones and Apple is acting like a spoiled brat... does anyone think this is the year that Apple tries to spread the iPhone to other carriers? And if so, Does anyone think that the iPhone will preform better on another carrier and show that AT&T just SUCKS!!! (Sorry, I use to work for them for 3 years, I know how they like to screw their customers)
I've got a line with Sprint and a line with AT&T. I've been a Sprint customer since 2004 with a 1 year account hibernation, and an AT&T customer since 2007.

Let me go on record as not being at all a fan of Apple. I will give them props on the way they made the iPhone integrate into people's lifestyle. That is the real magic of the iphone.

However, Apple tries to sue out of existence any threat to thei...

Before iPhone even existed...

What case does Apple even have? HTC was making touch phones when Apple was still all gaga over its iPod.
Apple, you were late to the game...now sit down while the Android OS takes over!
They all required styluses and behaved far differently. So HTC can take that and cram it!

swipe

personally i dont like that function. i have an iphone 3gs and it bugs the hell out of me. it's cool until you have to do it all the time every day.
I find it great for messaging, not so much for browsing or emails.. if I could set it so it only activates in Handcent I would be set.
Are you talking about Swype? Or slide to unlock function?

You would rather "press star key, then press home to unlock" rather than just slidding your finger across the screen?
