how ironic

on engadget i voted for the slot radio as the worst gadget for 2009... now verizon is putting on their bberries rofl. just rock slacker radio on a bberry or play your own music library, this is weak.

Not just no...

Give it a rest already, Big Red! This is just plain dumb. 🙄
I'd rather drop a few bucks on a blank MicroSD card and load it with my own collection.

Revolutionary!!!

I dont know about the rest of you fools, but I only like listening to the chorus for most of the songs I like!

"I'm a Genie in a bottle baby" I live by those words, another great line "I'm bringing sexy back"--> I make sure I go tanning before I listen to that jam and roll the windows down on my dads Escalade. This will make it look like I have 1000 songs on my phone but I since my allowance is usually spent on Chapstick and fake Armoni clothes.

This is how I roll!!

I don't get it

Why would anyone ever pay for a bunch of song clips? They aren't even full songs. Wtf. I guess it would make more sense to me if these were full songs.
The song clips are demos and once they find a clip they like...they can BUY the entire song from Vcast Music. I know...dumb.
im with ya

can't i do this for free through the Amazon MP3 app on my Droid?

slotRadio+ flopped for the Shack, why VZW?

Concept sounds OK but iffy given their history and concept. AFAIK the slotRadio+ was pretty much a flop for the Shack - probably because the tunes are hidden on the card in a partition that's not readable other then by a proprietary reader... and now apparently by the VZW app that can be mounted on a 3rd party device. Add that we never saw any updated genre specific microSD and I doubt it will do any better for VZW.

Why pay $40-$50 for 1000 tunes stuck on a card when you can just use your current music management app to side load your music from your computer to ALL of your devices?
it is for lazy people
