Ummm...

"The software update will not, however, improve the 3G coverage provided by T-Mobile."

Seriously.
Yeah really. It's like DUH...

T-Mobile's 3G network has grown and is still growing by leaps and bounds.

That being said, it would be nice to have a little bit of non-prejudice news. It seems like PhoneScoop does everything in its power to bash...

Seriously.

I laughed. 🙂
I completely agree with the OP. Whoever wrote that bit is absurdly unecessarily biased and that whole "t mobile's 3g network" bit was uncalled for.

A company's 3g coverage is NOT a component of the phone. Whoever the person was that wrote this cl...

cant just blame company--

gotta blame the idiots who bought a phone that the company cant comment on nor give info for...

that right there says *hey dont trust this phone*
Its just like when people buy unlocked phones and use them on Tmobile. Google is doing their part to fix the software. Anyone who bought a nexus one really has no right to complain about poor 3G coverage, since the only people getting the nexus one ri...

200mil vs 230mil = much smaller?

Att's 3g network reaches 230 million people, T-Mobile's covers 200 million people. This is really MUCH smaller? I don't think 15% more coverage is MUCH. I will take the HSPA and 15% smaller 3g coverage area over an overcongested bogged down 3g network anyday of the week. 😁
they reached 200 mil on dec 25th 2009...by the end of the yr (31st) they were at 205 mil....

in fact now...its at 215 mil pops....REALLY NOT A BIG DIFFERENCE

"T-Mobile's 3G network is much smaller than those of AT&T, Sprint and Verizon"

you're are exactly right when it comes to AT&T, but consider sprint and verizons 3g coverage. Anyone got some factual numbers for us?

I do agree with the biased repo...

maybe they should have thought of that before they went with T mobile
Does Android have the ability to swtich from 3G to EDGE?

Going with AWS is actually a pretty smart idea (for both the NexusOne and the Nokia N900), although there is a high risk/reward factor. The phone isn't intended to be a mass market product (at least not yet) as much as it is meant to show the ultimate...
