I kinda like the new 'Take it or Leave It' attitude Verizon has

It's like they're getting sick and tired of dealing with BS and are on the offensive now. Seems like they have their second wind after sending At&t running with their tail tucked between their legs. Definitely the most expensive way to get wireless service hands down but you get what you pay for right?

Palm + Verizon...again?

I don't know all of the ins and outs of the mobile phone industry but I'm surprised that Verizon is offering Palm smartphones again. I purchased my Palm Centro from a Verizon store about 14 months ago and came to realize what a better platform BlackBerry had, due in part to support from VW. I was never able to get Verizon's wireless sync or push e-mail to function properly. I suppose it's just good marketing for Verizon to carry Palm so they have another OS to offer their customers. Palm will always appeal to some people but I'm really glad I just upgraded, er, switched to a BlackBerry device.

Does anyone else think...

...that $70 for a decent pot of minutes and unlimited data is actually...pretty good?

Could be me, mind you.
If that is all you use your phone for (Talk and web) it is heck of a deal. But for those who require text they are S.O.L. But for those who would benefit from mins, text, data, Sprint's Everything Data plans are the best value. 😉

I Do Not Understand

What the heck is this Mobile Hot Spot Application and why is it $10 more than the normal Broadband Connect feature? Is it unlimited are 5GB? If it is 5GB then that is a frickin' rip off!
And THATS VZW! Congrats you win a cookie 😁

it turns your phone into a wifi hotspot. I agree the added cost is stupid.. but yea

Before these phones were introduced, in order to have a Mobile Hotspot, you would have had to purchase a Mifi device and be on a 2 year contract and risk paying an ETF if you wanted to cancel before the contract was met. Now instead of having to add a...

Mobile Hotspot Application with Sprint

How much does this Mobile Hot spot Application Cost with Sprint? Or do they allow it?
I dont think the Sprint versions of these phones arent capable of the mobile hotspot.
...
The Mobile HotSpot application is specific to the Verizon version of the Pre and Pixi.

Secondary lines on a FSP Plan?

I havent been to work this week so I don't know the answer to this, but these cannot be activated on FSP 2ary lines? Or the Loyalty or 65+ plan for that matter either? I think that must be a mistake by PS.
Are you sure these have to have $40 voice plans? I have never heard of VZW making this a requirement on any phone and I have worked there for 4 years.

Terrible Price

You can get an android phone from T-Mobile for $150 NO MIR and an unlimited plan (unlimited Talk, Text, Data and it includes being able to tether). Nice job big red for yet again ripping people off! Even a Blackberry can tether for free on TMO!
🙄
Verizon is not trying compete with tmobile on pricing.

Haha I agree with "ignorance is bliss"... It's funny how many people come up persistent on signing up with Boost even after after the value of Sprint is shown to them... The best part it when they get mad when there is no "Free Phone" with Boost lol ...

So tethering is free with T-Mobile, eh? Hmmmm...

They had bogo's on Daewoo's right across the street!

(Not I'm not saying Tmobile isn't a quality product, it is... but you're comparing apples to oranges until Tmobile gains marketshare and coverage.

Not free, but Not that bad

Since I have a job and get 20% off my service plan the added wifi-modem service will only cost me $32 vs $59.99 for my current MiFi. So, I can run 5 wireless devices for $32 bucks!! WOW unlim voice $99.99 is lowered to $69.99

I'm very happy with this!!
You do understand that this is not a 1:1 tether. This is a 😳 wifi hotspot 😳 , these units can serve as instant wifi hotspots supporting 5 connections over a broadband connection.
