Oh Well let the churn begin...

My Pre keeps locking and freezing this is all your fault sprint its ur network's fault not Palm's for making shoddy equiptment I'm going to Verizon and get the same exact phone and I bet it will never freeze again so what if I pay $50 dollars more a month! Ahhhhh... I cant wait I love it when they call in to care and say that! Being in retention is so fun!
Nothing to do with the network, all hardware.

Bad bad bad

Let someone copy the droid and see what happens 🤣
It's called the milestone. exclusive contracts aren't supposed to last forever.

Not good for Sprint... sort of...

Sprint already seems to hate this phone (exactly WHAT smartphone you're supposed to buy on Sprint's network I don't know...) . It's unwarranted as the Pre is excellent and will be the first decent smartphone Verizon has.

Really? apparently you must be out of the loop and on another planet when the Droid was realeased.

Whats the difference?

Can someone please let me know the differences between the Sprint's Pre and the Pre coming to Verizon. Thanks.
Read the story and it tells you the difference.
Reading the news posting would work wonders for you. 😉

The 'real' Palm Pre

Finally looks like the Palm Pre is evolving into a real Iphone competitor. I would be bummed if I was on Sprint with a Pre. It almost seems like they rushed to be the first to get the phone out before it was as ready as Palm wanted it to be. Verizon seems to be ahead of the game and waited for the right time to unload this phone. Too bad Verizon service is so darn expensive!
Palm was NOT ready either. New OS equals issues and experimentation such as with the iphone. Yes. Verizon benefits from added features and upgrades. But then something else emerges. Sprint has enjoyed the same as well. As I stated in another post, Yo...

I wouldn't worry about it... knowing how Verizon is with their handsets they'll probably f*** it up worse than Sprint did.

Palm Pre on VZW

So I've been a fan of crackberry for a while, but am really hating my tour. I'm not crazy about all touchscreens, but the ore has a keyboard, albeit a tiny one. It might work. What is email like on this phone. I love how blackberry gets all of my email accounts to me so quickly, in neat little folders. Can the pre do this, and if so, it is only with certain accounts? I have a hotmail, a yahoo, and a comcast. Plese tell me this phone will asnwer my hopes and dreams for a cell phone, or maybe even how the email service is. Thanks.
The Pre does multiple email accounts. I have Yahoo, Google, & Hotmail separated in folders.

Will you still be able to use the Palm desktop software with

the Pre to sink your contacts? I have an old Palm 650 and really like the desktop software.

Doubtful with the old software. You are talking about a completely different OS

Sprint USED be on top of smartphones

Okay, I have had Sprint service since 2002, and have NEVER had any problems with service and am loyal because of that and lower-than-average pricing tiers.

The hardware lineup has always impressed me:
From the first camera phone and color screen phones, to the slimmest form factors and best PDA phones from 2003-2008 (Treo 300/600, Hitachi G1000 mammoth phone, HTC introduction: 6600 - 6800 etc.) Sprint was the place to go for the latest and greatest hardware. Say what you want, but the Palm Pre is a great phone and Sprint nabbed it with exclusivity (until spring of course)

NOW, Sprint is majorly upsetting me by providing little choice for a power user hungry for new technology. I am so tempted to switch to another carrier to upgrade my...

It's possible Sprint is holding off on high end phones until they're ready to release a WiMax phone.

I don't think sprint has the best device line up out there right now, but i also think you are neglecting some pretty good phones like the hero and moment

and in response to your 4g/wimax statement, if you read earlier today they announced a mifi s...

I am shocked that a phone geek as yourself has completely lost touch with the wireless environment. You speak as if the phones coming out are the last. You should know that technology leap frogs.

It is amazing how childish some toy seekers are. Oh...
