"Verizon Challenges Sprint's 'Most Dependable' Ad Claims"

Verizon isnt' bashing Sprint. They just want Sprint to prove what they are claiming. If they can't prove it then they should drop the advertising.

It's not whining. If someone claims that they are better than you at something, wouldn't you want them to prove it?
It's whining. Dependability is a subjective term...JUST like reliability. Verizon may be the most relianle in Manhattan, but not in Montgomery, Alabama. Sprint is doing nothing wrong. VZW is foul!

First AT&T, now Spring

Why all the hate, Verizon?

Why make your claim basing it on a study done on VOICE calls, when "3G" refers to DATA? Sprint's 3G network (which is referring ONLY to data, not voice) could easily be more reliable than Verizon's 3G network.

This does nothing but make Verizon look like a bully. And if there's one thing America doesn't like, it's a bully.
It looks as though both you and I have picked out the same fault with this claim. At&T has something Verizon wants and so does Sprint.
...
Verizon is wrong for this action, but for the CDMA carriers it is all 3G. So there is no distinction between voice and data with the term. CDMA2000 or 1x is what both carriers use for voice and it is 3G.

Points to think about.

1) There is no lawsuit as of yet. Only a challenge of claim.
2) Verizon has consistantly made claims of "America's Most Reliable Network" while Sprint is claiming "The Nation's Most Dependable 3G Network" Dependable and Reliable are adjectives essentially meaning the same. Both cross over to each other's definition. However, The meaning in both claims is different.
Verizon is claiming less dropped/blocked calls than Sprint. However, Voice calls are NOT made through CDMA 3G transmission. So I would question the validity of the claim, since Sprint's sole claim is 3G; NOT voice calling. It appears Verizon is trying to parry the wording to further the consumer addlepation.

Sprint

Ok....So AT&T are only making money off of the iPhone and they are trying to gain it back by charging customers out the butt... Sprint, has excellent services and great phones for a less expensive rate. I dont know whats going on with Verizon but no I cannot hear them now...Sprint is definitely my top choice!

GOING STRAIGHT TO THE HEART

verizon is going straight to the heart of this. Will Sprint win this? i don't see the confidence. what will this mean for big red? their literally going to call everyone out. spanking everyone.

will the difference between signal strength and dropped call be the straw that broke the camels back?

as Cartman or Rush would say, "I'm just asking questions"
CAPS!

couldnt help it! lol!

Really???

I didn't really care before when they were talking about at&t, that's their closest competitor. Sprint clearly does not have the same coverage, there is no reason to attack them. regardless of adds people know verizon is the bigger company. This shows an exrteme lack of character on their part.

Doh!

Dan Hesse and the Verizon Wireless CEO need to settle this in a cage match right now!
Kidding aside, this sucks! Talk about frivolous lawsuits!
Agreed!
And we'll have the CEO of AT&T come down from the ceiling and start smacking people with iPhones and Data Plans!

WHAT??

No sean **** 😲
I mean why would they mess with Sprint?? Sprint of all companies!! Their beef is with AT&T, unless they want to create a WORLD WAR among cell phone providers, next thing you know Verizon will start bombing Cricket service, stating that they aren't really unlimited with service... 🤣

They are just pist that AT&T is fighting back...
AT&T isnt fighting back...they are having a very poor attempt at doing so....but I do have to agree that although VZW is the best....this is a retarded move...

Someone needs to chin check verizon

I don't like sprint because i was burned for 7 years. HOWEVER, the fact remains vzw is smoking crack if they think they can draw sprint into the fight with at&t and win. Sprint's 3G/4G network would eat up verizon and crap them out in the shape of ginger-man cookies. 😛

Verizon looking like the bad guy?

I don't get why Verizon is doing all of this. I'm an AT&T customer, but I can admit that Verizon has an awesome network and honestly, they have the people convinced that they are the best network to go with as well. So why pick these fights? It makes them look like the bad guy. Couldn't they ignore all this and just look like the better company? It says something to take the higher road.

WAAAA!! poor Big Red!

Seriously all kidding aside the company I work for uses Vzw and I use a Sprint Sanyo phone and I DO have more dropped calls with Big Red V than I EVER do with my Sanyo from Sprint. I can't beleive I am allowing myself to sound like a fan boy! Ha Ha!
While Verizon does have more dependable and reliable voice coverage sprint does have a better data infrastructure and speed son in areas where 3g is offered it is more dependable furthgermore the way Verizon rapes its customers with VZW only apps who ...

Come on Big Red, pick on those your own size!

Sprint of all carriers? That's like beating a dead horse or stepping on a kitten. They're doing bad as it is. Yes Sprint sucks. Yes they made mistakes and yes they deserve exactly what they get. But they're paying for it now and dearly by bleeding thousands of customers quarter by quarter.

Just leave them alone to die in peace Big Red. You can at least give them that. Pick on those your own size and focus on AT&T you big bully! We know you have the best network. Ain't got nothing to prove to nobody.
They'll gripe about advertising, but they have that big roaming agreement. hmmm...
