Adobe Flash has no place on mobile devices (or anywhere, really.)

Quoting from the "Adobe UI Gripes" tumblr:

"About six months ago, a friend who was working closely along side adobe’s flash application development team told me that they received a prototype of Flash for iPhone. The prototype allowed the iPhone to have less than half an hour of battery life using flash. They then sent the prototype to apple and suggested incorporating this prototype iPhone flash into the iPhone OS in the next update.

Apparently apple sent this letter back thanking them for being interested in developing a working version of flash for the iphone but because the prototype is so processor intensive, and awful for battery life, they would not includ...

Nice Apple story there.
Flash is going to be going on everything in the future and prototypes are just that...prototypes. Besides, with RIM products you can carry an extra few batteries around to handle the 1/2 battery life thing now anyway 🤣

You know, this is a good LOL story, but Apple does have a point that other phone OS manufacturers should listen to.

USE THE GPU to Render The Desktop!

All those nice fade and slide effects that are herky jerky on normal phones, yet run perfectly...
