AT&T Sues Verizon for 'Map for That' Ads
Aw, AT&T gonna cry?
If I work hard in college, get a big degree, and get a wonderful high-paying job...is it right for someone to sue me for being more successful? NO! Is it misleading to say I make more money that some people? NO!
(By the way, I'm not a Dr. or anything, just making a point)
AT&T, please grow out of your diapers and wake up to the fact that until you make your network bigger, nobody is going to care how much you sue or what phones you have.
Verizon was only...

ATT is saying that their customers will assume that they have NO coverage, even though they will still have data/voice coverage where there is an edge network, but it...

Do you want to know who's guilty of false advertising? There's a map for that...
This is the case at my house, my mom's and my gf's parents. You constantly drop calls at all their homes, and in a lot of cases the coverage is so poor that your phone won't even ring if someone calls, and data speeds are slower than dial up. But if you look on Verizon's coverage map all those places are all red with no white spots in sight, leading you to assume full coverage with 3g.
It's time someone put an end to Verizon's crap.
And no carrier guarantees coverage in houses.
1x vs 1xEv-Do vs Rev A vs HSDPA vs HSUPA vs HSPA maybe vs Edge
I wonder what the map is actually based on? I remember back in the day we used to hear a lot about 1x and Rev. A, but is this map to assume Verizon's entire network is Rev. A? Or do they still count areas with 1x as 3G (which it technically is) as opposed to excluding EDGE on the at&t map?
I guess this is a convoluted post asking this:
(these are all generalities based on speed/performance)
1x = EDGE ?
Rev. A = HSDPA ?
However 1x is considered 3G because it was rolled out technically as the networks third generation, where as most GSM carriers just upped the class of EDGE.
In other words, "IDK MY BFF JILL"

apparently ATT is scared
what ATT is trying to do is denounce (all be it anecdotally) Verizon's dominion over the whole ordeal.
it's kind of like having two siblings, that are both fighting to be the "#1 child"
the irony here is that VERIZON already has that title, and ATT is whining about it.
there is NO way this lawsuit can go anywhere. the entire ad states "3G" coverage. nothing to do with voice coverage.
ATT is sad. it's true, they know their 3G network sucks in comparison. hell I think T-Mobile's 3G network is almost if not larger by now then ATT...
what you really need to take from this is three things
#1. - att is scared because they see that Ve...
