This could be VERY good news

NTT DoCoMo has always carried phones that have features nothing here in the US could match. I just hope the FCC doesn't make it difficult for them..

Hey, DoCoMo, SK Telecom called for you...

...it said just one word, "Helio," and then hung up.

SK Telecom, a wireless carrier as cutting edge & resourceful as NTT DoCoMo, already tried the high end MVNO w/ Helio and essentially failed. DoCoMo will fare little better. And, for the phone boys already drooling over the prospect of Japanese handsets, those coveted DoCoMo handsets are irrelevant, as they are PDC 800/1500 &/or W-CDMA 2100+1900/1800/800 -- not even remotely compatible w/ North American spectrum (or technology, in the case of PDC).

Good luck, DoCoMo...

...you'll need it in this economy leasing spectrum from AT&T or Tmobile.
...DoCoMo can. If they fail, it should be the final signal any would-be MVNO would need.
