AT&T Really, REALLY messed up this time.

AT&T is in for a rude awaking. Verizon is going to lite a fire under there @$$ for this.

AT&T is afriad that Verizon is going to hurt them when we get the iPhone.

AT&T is mad that our 3G network is 5 times the size of theres.

AT&T is mad that our 4G network will be out at the end of 09.

AT&T is mad that we always get praised for our network, and well, they get preached at.

This is taking place in NEW YORK! HELLO AT&T! This is your WORSE area in the US!

WHY the HECK would you file a law suite in a city that your network is not usable in?

I will laugh when the judge rules in favor of Verizon. I bet the judge has or had an iPhone on AT&T and knows how horrible the service is.

AT&T really screwed up this time.

Sounds like a couple of spoiled little children

Fighting for the same toy. 🤣

I'm almost ashamed to say that I work for VZW. Well, not really, at leat I know my phone works everywhere I go. 😉
Funny, I can make the exact same claim, and I have AT&T lol

What is the definition of 3G?

I can tell you that in order for a network to be considered "TRUE" 3G, it has to be Video Call capable and have the ability to support Voice and Data usage at the same time.

T-MO is just barely dabbling in 3G... AT&T being the largest 3G carrier has every right to challenge the verbage in VZWs ad. That's business!

Go AT&T!

I've been saying this about Verizon for quite a while. They can't really say "we're the best" based on nothing, which really isn't true at all. They've been having so many problems with their network in our area that they don't even know how to fix it (this is actually what somebody from Verizon told someone I talked to) so they're letting some people out of contract. Plus their coverage map is misleading too, it's painted almost entirely red, whether there's good service, bad service and sometimes no service at all. For example, service is so bad at my mother's house that your Verizon phone won't even ring if somebody calls, and if it does happen to, it'll drop the call withing 5 seconds, but yet according to their coverage map you got full...

technically

its true. verizon is better in some parts of the US. and at&ts claims r also true. there r more bars outside the US.

this is childish. im a fan of at&t but this is kinda out of hand. if this goes through what would the moto be for phone companies?

at&t : we have good service but so does everyone else.

vzw : we have service in places and so does at&t.
Imagine if the judge rules in favor or Verizon, and AT&T has a hissy fit. LOL.

This made me laugh out loud.

AT&T Is jealous

AT&T is just jealous that they can't have a 3G network as big as Verizons and that they can't have there 4G network up by the end of the year.

AT&T=FAIL

Can't we all get along! HAHA

I think there should be only 2 things, a prepaid carrier and a post pay carrier, therefor.. no one can complain on anyone. just make it all one company, you can either do post or pre depending on your credit. everyone gets the same phone and everyone has the same service lol. 😈

I think AT&T is a good company, i been with them for awhile and they been really good, coverage wise and 3G wise. I havent experience any drop calls or anything disconnects. and i like their touchscreen selection.

I'm sure Verizon is a really good company too. Everyone has there pros and cons. T-mobile is good also! The only thing that deter me away is there CDMA. When I came to the US i see people with CDMA phones.. and funny names like.. kyocera and...

The main reason GSM is the universal standard in Europe is because it was mandated.

What is ATT thinking?

While I question the ethics of how independent studies are conducted, The fact remains that these studies are admissable in court. With this said, ATT is casting stones at a solid wall. Too many studies are in Verizon's favor and against ATT's. ATT has documented subscriber issues against ATT's network and ATT has admitted themselves(very recently) that they have network issues with their 3G and are working on it. Yet they commence battle with Verizon whos 3G is indeed pretty much intact? I am no Verizon fan, but ATT is not thinking clearly on this. ATT simply needs to get away from whatever stuff they are on. In fact, I believe there is an app on their iphone that can help them with this!

AT&T---Their world delivered!
Do a google search of AT&T network problems and you will return pages and pages of blogs and sites with comment after comment of complaint. Most of them are iPhone users, which is why I will NEVER get an iPhone.

Oh brother...

If anything, AT&T and Verizon should sue Sprint because Sprint directly attacks both companies in their ads.

AT&T, this is STOOPID of you! Let Verizon advertise as they please and work on making your own dam ads worth watching.
I get quite a kick out of ads from AT&T lol.

I agree with you on the Sprint attacks, although theirs is at least somewhat truthful because technically, their plans ARE cheaper, but their service isn't what it used to be.

But in all reality, this...

This is Sprint's plan. (Hahaha)

Yes thats right, argue and waste time, in the meantime Sprint, sprints ahead of the competition and takes first place. 🤣

Not really but Its hopeful wishing. 😕
I think Sprint's short term goal should be to stop hemorrhaging customers. once they do that, they can work on building up their customer base again.

You can't become number 1 unless you're growing.

It's about time someone called out big Red and there false advertising.

You mean how ATT advertises as the "fastest" 3g network.. the fast speeds you can only get in one city, and from a network plagued by 3g stability issues?

So they rather waist money attacking Verizon...

...instead of using the money to improve their own slow antiquated HSPA 3.6Mbps network, which gives their customers something to look forward to each day: Drop Calls.

AT&T: "More Dropped Calls in More Places..AT&T your calls never delivered"

Verizon: "America's Most Reliable and Dependable 3G network. No Dropped calls to look forward to."

on all verizon tv ads, when people make a call, bunch of people always there including the "guy that used to say Can you hear me now?"

when my brother uses his verizon phone, i dont see nobody beside him!, not even that guy that used to say "can you hear me now?"

ABOUT TIME!

It's time to start bashing Verizon and its bombastic remarks. We are now the most reliable in Miami! Faster than ever since last week.
I'm sure your custies in Portland are happy to hear that...
I have had Verizon for 8+ years and in that time I have only had a few dropped calls and very few places with no signal.

Go read Consumer Reports or JD Power Beach, AT&T customers sure don't agree with you.

This is just plain STUPIDITY!

NO CARRIER IS NUMBER ONE OR PERFECT! AT&T should sue themselves for claiming more bars in more places, NO! how about the fastest 3g network. The Judge most certainly will not rule in there favor because they are also making false claims. Next they should sue poor little sprint for "The Most dependable 3g network claim" Isn't Reliable (Verizon) and Dependable the same meaning? 😳 I'm sorry but At&t is wasting time and money that could go towards there horrible network, Ive had bad experiences with them and been through several phones so I know its the network!
AT&T should look at reputable sources like Consumer Reports and JD Power to see how their network stacks up. (Their own customers rank them at or near the bottom of the cell phone carriers in almost every measured US market)

And I do find it hilari...

All Carrier Claims are False!

As my name suggests, I'm a VZW fan... and employee. But before completely disregarding my point because of this think about the different claims for all the carriers commercials...

AT&T - More Bars in More Places?
-that depends on your interpretation of bars. if it's straight out global coverage, well then that's false. Verizon Wireless has global coverage with their global phones (Storm, Tour, Samsung Reknown) in more places than AT&T. If you're talking about the actual bars on your cell phone... well whoop dee doo, everyone knows the bars are relatively useless as each manufacturer has different meters. The difference between 2-5 bars is negligible in most instances.

Sprint - America's Most Dependable 3G Network?
- well... that so...

All carriers have their weakness in coverage, phones and rate plans.
T-Mobile has excellent coverage in large cities. When I had them I never dropped calls and never had a dead spot. But with Verizon and AT&T...DIFFERENT story!
pcworld did a 3g test with all the carriers in major cities ... And in the test verizon came out ahead... judge for yourself but it looks to me over all verizon did pretty good...

Hmmm- seems like AT&T is trying to change the rules to compete

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601103&sid= ... »

Copy and paste if the link doesn't work.

Seems like AT&T can't compete in terms of the reliability standards so they want to change it to suit them.

Wasn't there a report out a few months ago that said Verizon was more dependable in the eastern and midwest regions and Sprint was better in the west? I thought it also mentionsed AT&T was running third....
