Slider key lock?

Does anyone know if the slider locks when the kepbad is in and unlocks when extended - like a flip phone when open or closed? Or does it lock with keystrokes like a candybar.

My husband needs one hand operation and prefers the flip phone for unlocking and answering ease, but it easily slips from his hand when trying to open it - broke the last one that way. Has to carry in an upper pocket or pants pocket so size is an issue, no space for a case to protect it. In my mind a slider and Nokia brand for reliability in our area (other brands drop calls or go into roaming a lot sooner) may be a win/win.

Nearest working model to me is an hour away. It will be a one day thing when I check it out in my hand an decide on it or another opti...

Nokia CDMA

US release? Verizon or Sprint? I really like the look of that one!
US Cellular has it right now. I'm looking into it for my husband. He has some serious use/need issues as candybars are too bulky for him and flips are too awkward because he often has to operate one handed (not driving either btw), and dropped his l...

E895 surprisingly Nokia-like

Or so it looks to me. The keys and overall physical design remind me of Nokia flips like the 6255i.
I know . . . I don't normally care for Motos, but the fact that this one is Linux based and uses Opera for a browser is VERY appealing to me. I might actually consider it even though it's a moto . . . Very Happy

CDMA is DEAD

...or should be. Actually.. rumour has it that Sprint's CDMA network needs to be upgraded fast, or the 2 keycodes will collide and kill the whole network. -- I don't know if its true, some guy who work for Samsung USA network development told me that.
CDMA is far from dead - in fact, it's thriving with Sprint and Verizon - and winning the 3G race at the moment with EV-DO.

Nothing wrong with GSM, of course, but CDMA is doing just fine.

The issue with Sprint and Verizon's networks needing upgra...

N Series coming US! WOot

I hope the N70 if it comes here will be the Hspda version with UMTS 850/ 1900 that would be hella sweet. N90 withn in the next month also excellent and N91 maybe sometime this year cu zz i don't think but do hope for earliar than a march debut for us. Decent I guess consdering we never got none of the good stuff before.
North America never gets any of the good phones because of the novel concept of using the 850/1900mhz band as opposed to the 900/1800 band that the rest of the world uses. Since CDMA and TDMA use the 800/1900 bandwidth as well, so it seems that there'...
